How to unlock the Ice Maker achievement in Band of Bugs - Definitive Guide

Create a big water filled map, with one ground tile in the corner--for the enemy Grunt--and more ground tiles across the opposite edge. Put 5 Ice Mages and 5 Fire Mages across the edge. Save it, and load it in single player skirmish game.

Use your Winter Storm to freeze the water tiles; and your Heat to melt the water tiles. Repeat until "Achievement Unlocked."

The move Ice Frost can do 4 tiles at a time. I also didn't need to melt the ice as the Fire mages have the move 'Chill' which freezes a tile.

Hey thanks Domini! I'll add in that info right now. And I can't exactly remember why I had the Fire Mages use melt, but I think it was so you could refreeze the water tiles the next turn. I may be wrong though, I don't know.

Third time's a charm and Ice Maker can easily happen at the same time. Make a map and make it as much water as you can. In the middle of the water put an ice mage. Somewhere on the map put two grunts (one on the same team as the ice mage one not).
Plug in a second controller on a dummy profile (or whatever profile) and just allow your mage to go to town on the water with the other two "waiting" on their turns. When the Ice Mage can't make any more Ice have one grunt push off the other.
Do this for 3 rounds and you should easily freeze enough squares and you will get the 3 games.

Create your own map, filling it with as much water as possible. In the middle, put an Ice Mage (at level 12) and near the corner, put an enemy Clutch Bearer and an ally Grunt. Save it, and load a skirmish game in single player mode. Select the map you just made and load it.

Use your Winter Storm in order to freeze the water tiles, then use your grunt to use the skill "Push" to shove the Clutch Bearer off the map (unlocks the Bouncer achievement immediately as well). Repeat this map until you've frozen enough tiles to get the achievement.
