Hiding in that corner made this so much easier. after trying about 5 times with the other setup this only took me twice.

TLDR: Mortar, Fire Bellows. Roll, use fire, roll, use mortar, rinse & repeat! ;)

Access this particular dream by selecting the Stockpot in the Bastion. It appears roughly 1/2 the way through the story after completing Point Lemaign.
It consists of 18 waves of enemies found in the Wilds (such as peckers, stinkeyes, and anklegators).

Personally, I found this Dream to be the most difficult of all. Mainly because of those pesky Adult Peckers that do massive damage to you with every charge.

First off, do this on your 2nd playthrough in Score Attack Mode since that's when you should be worrying about maxing out your level and weapons anyways.
You should be at least lvl 7 before you try this. It's possible earlier, but why torture yourself.

Before I begin, let me preface with this: I've had some questions asked about why I haven't incorporated tips for every single wave (Reflection) or why I have similar solutions for each dream. The reason for this is that you use the same exact method to deal with almost every enemy in the game when using the loadout below (exclusions will be listed in Tips section). Slow them with fire and shoot a mortar at them. toast
I will provide a few specific tips below for particularly harmful enemies/rounds if deemed necessary or if people comment with questions about specific waves.

Weapons
Galleon Mortar
- Rapid Bombs
- Target System
- High-Explosive Charges
- Dampened Tubing
- Immunity to Bomb Damage (The most important)

Fire Bellows
- Sustainable Fuel
- Napalm Reservoir
- Modified Intake (THE most important tool you'll have. This slows down foes dramatically which makes fast moving enemies much easier to deal with using the Galleon Mortar)
- Contoured Grip OR Shielded Grip (Whichever you prefer)
- Industrial Furnace (Important for range purposes. And since you have the Napalm Resevoir and Modified Intake, just hit them a bit, then roll and use the G. Mortar to finish them off)

Distillery drinks
I will list the 7 most important ones, then options for 8,9, and 10 :
1) Leechade (THE most important since enemies won't drop health tonics with all idols on)
2) Bastion Bourbon
3) Black Rye
4) Lifewine (You have no idea how useful this is. I was skeptical of it at first but it's literally a lifesaver)
5) Bull Brandy OR Cham-Pain if you don't mind the side-effect
6) Hearty Punch
7) Werewhiskey (This is really important if you still have a few Reflections left but you're out of health tonics. You start doing massive damage at low health which helps you gain back health really fast with Leechade)
8) Bull Brandy OR Cham-Pain (whichever you didn't choose before)
9) Whale Ale
10) Graver Gimlet

Secret Skill
Turret Surprise
(This is extremely useful because besides damaging enemies it also serves as a great distraction and it lasts for a long while if you can help it keep alive. Also, if you've failed a specific round (Reflection) multiple times and find it to be the hardest one, just drop down 2 turrets instead of one)

Tips
Dream Specific:
- Be wary of the Adult Peckers that dive at you. They do massive damage that is really difficult to block. Even if you counter with the shield, you're usually still damaged. Your best bet is to throw a little fire their way and roll, then mortar them.
- The round with two mini-anklegators can also be difficult. Use your mortar for the first couple shots on each one. After that, use only your Fire Bellows since they're really fast and your mortar is too slow. Try to keep them both popping up at the same time. If they pop up individually then you're more likely to get rekt.

General:
-Roll......a lot.
-Use cover. All dreams have a little cover, some more than others. Sit behind it and use your mortar if you can.
-Try to use your Fire Bellows for like half a second to slow down fast moving enemies, then roll out of the way and drop a mortar on their face.
-For peckers, squirts, or pincushions, just spray flames all over the places then roll far away and repeat. Don't try to target one individually, your Napalm Reservoir will work it's magic on them over time.

One last tip that can be a huge game changer but is time consuming and/or tricky to pull off:
If you're not at level 10 yet and you're having a very difficult time with a certain dream, get yourself somewhat close to lvling up then enter the dream. If you time it right and can lvl up somewhere near the last 7 reflections or so, then all your health, health tonics, and black tonics will all be restored making the rest of the dream a cakewalk.

If I missed anything or you have any questions please let me know.

Why is your score attack position relevant? laugh
Also copy pasta'ing this to all of the ten idols and calling it done isn't particularly helpful since each is different and you don't talk about wave comp or the enemies at all. Just saying.

Doc Buddha, thanks for pointing that out. I'll update that right now.

This was helpful to me. I don't know why we need a breakdown of each wave, most of it is implicit or skill-based and there's simply no getting around that.

Thanks for the solution.

Well I finally did it by hiding in a corner and using homing calamity cannon and fire bellows

The 2 alligator things or whatever were a lot easier using the mortar the whole time. Roll away from them a couple times, shoot the mortar at them, and then roll over them so they pop up where the mortar is going to hit. Thanks to the regen from the idol, the flame weapon is much more difficult to use to finish them off (IMO).

This strategy worked really well for the other dreams. But for this particular dream, there are much better options.

This description is misleading. DO THIS ON YOUR NEW GAME PLUS PLAY THROUGH. Before completing the last level do all of these challenges. DO NOT GO TO SCORE ATTACK AS THIS SOLUTION SUGGESTS. IF YOU DO YOU WILL LOSE ALL PROGRESS IN THE STORY AND HAVE TO START THE NEW GAME PLUS PLAY THROUGH OVER.

I repeat it says in the solution to do this "on your 2nd playthrough in Score Attack Mode" THIS INFORMATION IS WRONG. ONLY DO THIS IN NEW GAME PLUS. NOT SCORE ATTACK. GOING INTO SCORE ATTACK RESETS STORY PROGRESS AND UNLOCKS. DO NOT COMPLETE THE LAST LEVEL OF NEW GAME PLUS UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE ALL OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS RELATING TO "WHO KNOWS WHERE"

@Bamfs34 do you not understand that you might as well do it in Score Attack bc there is another achievement for earning 1,000,000 points? Yes, it resets levels and unlocks, but you can replay levels as much as needed. If you’re going for completion DO THIS IN SCORE ATTACK.

"get yourself somewhat close to lvling up then enter the dream. If you time it right and can lvl up somewhere near the last 7 reflections or so"

This isn't true though. And even worse, leveling up inside a dream means all your xp gets capped, so any additional xp earned beyond the level are lost. If you're close to leveling, level up before entering a dream if you don't want to lose out on xp.

I was just excited about reaching #1. Never done that before in a game. I figured that most of us gamers (especially on this site) like to celebrate accomplishments and achievements so why not be happy for each other when we do something cool.

Secondly, on "copying and pasting", all of these dreams are practically the same in a manner of speaking. You literally do the same thing: roll, shoot, roll, shoot, dive for cover, shoot. There aren't really many differences. I completed all of them with the same exact loadout (which is why I posted that specific loadout here). There's not really much else you can say about how to complete it because you do the exact same thing regardless of what enemies you're facing.

Are you having a particular issue with one specific wave that I could possibly be of help on?

I’ve actually found a glitch/cheat to do this. Do it with 0 idols active, and on the last wave before killing the last mob, press RT +down in the d pad. It opens the idol menu, and you can enable them all.

The Singer's Dream is accessed via the stockpot that turns up on The Bastion during the Story. Just below the core in the middle.

I did this in New Game+ at level 10.

Drinks;

Squirt Cider
Mender Mead
Hearty Punch
Bastion Bourbon
Werewhiskey
Black Rye
Whale Ale
Bull Brandy
Lifewine
Leechade

Weapons;

Galleon Mortar / upgrades = L/R/R/R/R
Scrap Musket / upgrades = R/L/R/L/L
Turret Suprise

Attack from distance. Use the mortar for almost everything. The birds are the worst. I used the mortar on them but with the last upgrade on the right (stops you taking damage from the mortar) I was able to drop mortars on myself which killed the birds too. A turret will also help.

I saved three tonics for the last round and they did help.

Try to be brave with your healing potions. Your drinks build will be getting you some health back. Try to save your potions for the end. I didn't use any black tonics until the final level at which point I placed them all down at once and let them finish it for me.

The Singer's Dream is the second of the four Who Knows Where stages, accessed by interacting with the Stockpot memento in the Bastion. The Singer's Dream features enemies encountered in the Wild levels of the game, specifically the different types of Weed, Cushion, Pecker, Lunkhead, and Anklegator enemies. There are a total of 18 waves.

Complete all 18 waves, while all 10 idols from the Shrine are invoked, to unlock this trophy.

Please refer to the tips posted under the trophy About the Author .
