Achievement Name: Catch (5g)

Description: Find someone to play remote Batarang catch with

This is a very simple and easy to get achievement. The person with which you need to throw the remote Batarang at is the ‘Unknown’ hooded character you meet (and subsequently receive the ‘Watcher In The Wings’ side mission from). The best time to get this achievement is right after rescuing Vikki Vale from Joker’s snipers after her plane crash, the spot where Batman takes her is directly opposite where ‘Unknown’ is standing (on the roof of a building). Simply throw the remote Batarang at him and he will catch it.

To make it any easier for us gamers, just watch this video.

After just meeting 2 Face for the first time in the court-house. Go outside on the balcony above the front door and look across the street. Throw the remote batarang at him and he will catch it. Pling....achievement unlocked.

The "Someone" is the "mysterious [hooded] figure watching" you in the Watcher in the Wings side mission (available after your initial visit to the Courthouse). Simply hit him with a Remote Batarang [LT>+RT]. If done correctly the achievement will unlock immediately after he catches it. Here is a map of his four locations. Note: This achievement is missable. If you get too close to him you will trigger a cut-scene and miss the chance. You'll have four opportunities throughout the game; the first being immediately after the Courthouse, but your best bet is to just avoid landing on the roof he is standing on. Easily done by accident if you are unaware of his presence/locals. If you have already completed this side mission, it can also be acquired in NG+ mode (unlocked by completing the main story) or alternatively you could start a new game (it doesn't take long to get back to the Courthouse, about 15 minutes).

Another easy spot to play catch with the mysterious watcher, if you happened to miss doing it after playing heads or tails with Harvey, is when he's standing atop the Ferris Wheel in the industrial zone.

He should show up there after the cinematic story event that has you crushing a cell phone in the industrial zone, and he stick out a little when he's up there.



Simply head towards the #2 shown on the map above after the event I mentioned --A good vantage point (the one I used) was around wheel to the north, it gives you a clear line of sight to your mystery date so you can get the fun started-- Then Just bead in on him, chuck a remote batarang and watch him catch it nonchalantly.

Just, whatever you do, DO NOT go up there to him before having done this, otherwise he'll talk to you and then disappear. If you do, you'll have to restart your last checkpoint if you want to get this achievement here, and not wait to get it from another spot he's in later in the game. If you've talked to him in all the locations marked on the map you'll have to wait till a new game, or new game +, to get this achievement.

Also, a note on where he's standing. I believe there's a Riddler trophy there as well.

Edit 10/30/2011: While playing through my New Game + I went looking for the watcher in this location after the event I mentioned above and he wasn't there, however he was right after the next story event. Not sure why this is and my only theory is that I moved through the events leading from my first finding him to looking for him on the Farris Wheel so fast that enough time wasn't spent between to allow him to be there -which lends itself to an idea that certain things like this, that pop up in the game world, may be on a spawn timer.

Take that theory with a grain of salt though, please, I cannot confirm it myself.

As stated before this is indeed missable.
However I've found out that it is actually extremely easy to do during New Game Plus.

You start out with all of Bats gadgets, so directly after you've rescued your favorite cat, go outside the courtroom via the balcony, select the Remote Batarang and fire away to the building opposite you. You will see the Mysterious Watcher on the edge of the roof straight away.
