How to unlock the Sphinx' Riddle achievement in Batman Arkham City - Definitive Guide

There are plenty of guides out there that have the Catwoman trophies, so i wont go into those. I only had trouble with one of her physical challenges; "Complete one Claw Climb using at least 8 separate leaps without missing the timing for a single jump" I tried the tall smoke stacks in the Industrial District and the church and could not get 8. The only place I found to get 8 leaps was the bank in The Bowery. If you stand at the front door to the Museum and look across the street to the left, past the elevated train, it will be the building with the gargoyles on the corner of the block. Kitty corner from the Confiscated Goods Vault. Now, how I did it was, across the street to the west of the bank, on the first level above the ground is a loudspeaker stand. Stand on the handrail and look up at the gargoyle (either one) and you should be able to get 8 jumps as long as you get the timing right.

Perfect. I was even already stood just next to the bank when I read this!

I'm having trouble finding enough thugs to do the whip trip and whip crack combo in the same flow. Any suggestions?

another good place is the Ferris wheel in the industrial district, just stand at the bottom and press RB looking at the top, its the easiest place to do it in my opinion

+1 for the ferris wheel for 8 jumps. I got it with zero effort there, every jump is the same timing. For her whip combos I found the street at the "P" in Park Row to be good. There are enough guys there and there are no knives or guns to worry about (I was doing it after main story ended).

You need the upgrades, obviously, but when your combo counter turns yellow, press either A+B or A+X. Continue punching guys after you did one of those two until the counter turns yellow once again and then do the other button combination.

Wished I had looked further into the physical challenges.. Upgraded everything but those two facepalm Now where every trophy has been collected, I'm forced to run around looking for trouble in order to get the last remaining upgrades. Don't follow my example.

I did that 2nd try on the ferris wheel in industrial district. One challenge I'm having issues with is using both her special combos in on combo flow just can't keep it going to get the 2nd combo off

Another place you can get this is by the Soloman Wayne Courthouse, across from the front entrance there is a building with gargoyles on it.

You can easily make the 8 jumps here if you look at the gargoyles and press RB when one is highlighted.

Note: You'll likely want to clear the two-face thugs out before you start this.

The building has a vertical 'Hotel Aventine' sign on one corner. This is a great spot.

To obtain this trophy you need to collect all 35 of Catwomans riddler grid items and complete the 5 physical challenges.

Here is the videos of all her riddler grid items if you do not have all of them unlocked from interrogating thugs as Batman.

All the videos are from Batman Arkham Videos youtube channel, I take no credit for this.

Yes, Catwoman has Riddler trophies too. They are much easier than Batman's to collect though and they do show up on the map as ? after Batman interrogates an informant. For some of them, Batman will have to open the area up for her, but the majority are easy to get to. Batman can't pick up the pink Riddler trophies. You have to play as Catwoman to get them.

They were all pretty easy to find and didn't take too long to find. You can follow this video for a walkthrough (thank you to Caofontaine for the video).

Much like collecting the green icons as Batman, the red ones found throughout Arkham City are to be collected with Catwoman (and in fact can't be collected as Batman). These are all much more straightforward than Batman's since she does not have any gadgets. While playing the story, keep interrogating the glowing green enemies, doing so will show the locations of these on the map.
