How to unlock the A Leap of Faith achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide

Progressing naturally through the game may only get you 1 or 2 of these jumps, so I've made a video guide showing you 12 total options that you can try towards this achievement.

General Tips:
- Use your waypoint system to judge your distance
- On Xbox One check the achievement tracker after each jump to see if it registered.
- There are extra options available in the video if you are struggling, so feel free to try the next one if you can't get the game to register a certain jump.
- Make sure you hit the ramp while using your afterburner and while travelling in a perfectly straight line. Turning on the ramp will significantly slow you down!
- Do NOT touch your brake or battle mode buttons while in the air!

Can you use the same jump place or do I have to go to a different place every time?

In the off chance anyone reads the comments, I actually got this achievement while doing a jump on one of the tracks in the 1960s batmobile tracks. Presumably this means that any jumps that are 100m+ on those tracks count towards this achievement.

Lazyslothboy001: I can confirm that's correct. I only had 2 of the 100m jumps from the main game before starting the AR tracks, and it popped for me on one of the 1989 track jumps.

Incredibly frustrating. I'm stuck at 7/8. I know I've cleared all 12 jumps cleanly. It's literally just glitched or something. And people complain about Bethesda games being buggy...not had luck with this series.

The jumps in the AR races apparently count. I had done maybe 3 in the main game, but then it unlocked as I was playing the AR tracks.

Knight is better than City but still bugged up the wazoo. Such a Mickey Mouse company Rocksteady.

Somehow this popped up while I was completing racing challenges. I was intending to hit straight 1500/2000 GP, but now I will have ugly 1505 because of this little crap

Just a note: obvious, but just in case, anything that puts you to a dead stop might not work with backing up and boosting through (or you'll probably need to maneuver during the jump). There's a few jumps that are near walls/buildings and bridge arches that put you to a dead stop. But, basically, I didn't have to worry about crashing into the gate or anything on #3. Some others that worked out with just a few tries: #3, #4 (first time was in one try, but redoing it took two or three tries), #6, #7, #10.
I think #2, #5, and #11 also worked, but I'm not completely sure. I think I did some unlisted ramps (#5 for sure; I saw the map on the video and assumed it was to that rooftop, so I know I didn't do the right ramp. But, I think after a few tries, it counted. Also, I didn't realize he did a replay of #4, and did both of the ramps.)

Also, to answer Viktor181, I think the best way to say it is that the game registers which ones you do (and maybe has a count), but the achievement (at least on Xone), has it's own count. A few minutes ago (as I was heading toward #12), the game shut off for a new B:AK update while I had 8/10. I went back and did jumps #2 and #4 again (I think) and it gave me credit for them. I also tried jump #2 (which was the first one I got toward the achievement), and it didn't count after doing it 3-4 times, so I'm assuming the game saved after for an AR challenge or something.

The guide was great for helping me find jumps! The only thing I was having trouble with was actually getting on them to do it. At least from how I was doing it, you don't need a huge distance of space to get over it.
What I found easiest to do (if anyone else is having trouble) is lining up on the ramp, backing up a decent bit, then accelerating and using the boost. I never had to bother with changing direction or anything, even during the jump. Even if he crashed into stuff landing (like fences and stuff), it seemed to count fine. For example, #4 was actually pretty easy (got it the first time) once I lined up with the ramp, reversed until I touched the wall and went from there.
And like was mentioned, keeping the achievement snapped made it easy to see if I got it right away.

There is a easier way to do this, if you have the dlc for the bat mobiles. The new challenge races come with tons of jump to do this achievement, and yes you can do this achievement in challenge mode and it doesn't matter what kinda bat mobile you use.

A few to mention:
1960s tv racetracks
bat cave racetracks
2008 the dark knight racetracks

I did this naturally while getting the stars for each bat mobile for there achievements.

I didn't even try for it. It just unlocked while going for the stars. Thumbs up!

The most certain one to get your jumps from is the Cauldron TT Speedway (the hardest one where you need 1:15 on the clock)
The jump you do there is 100 meters, easy! :)
You will get it when you own all the DLC cars, since those are five or so cars. :)

What should also be mentioned is that there should be more than 8 different jumps you can do. I think there are between 12 to 18 ramps that you can find and use for the trophy. It's just a matter of finding them all and trying. Also, I've heard that it has glitched for some people. You may have to do more than 8 for the trophy to be unlocked.

To unlock this achievement you need to perform 8 jumps in the Batmobile from unique locations around Gotham. There is no in game indicator that will show you how far you have managed to jump, fortunately the achievement tracker works for this achievement so you can use this to check on your progress.

General Tips:

  • Use your waypoint system to judge your distance
  • Check the achievement tracker after each jump to see if it registered
  • There are extra options available in the video if you are struggling, so feel free to try the next one if you can't get the game to register a certain jump
  • Make sure you hit the ramp while using your afterburner and while traveling in a perfectly straight line. Turning on the ramp will significantly slow you down!
  • Do NOT touch your brake or battle mode buttons while in the air!

If some of you doing this achievement and are stuck at 6/8 or 7/8, what I did was start a new game and once you have access to the Batmobile, redo the jumps again. You have 12 of them and you only need 8, so after each jump just check the achievement status to see if it went up.

You need to make 8 jumps on the Batmobile from springboards over 100 meters. There are more of them in total.

Where to find them, watch the video

Looking at the guides and because the trophy appears for me and other people, I conclude that trampolines and jumps in which the camera moves a little away from the betmobile (at the same time, the inscription “Air Flow Control” may still appear on the screen) count. I got the chance after just such a jump, and in the overall count I jumped on 8 of these exact jumps.

I advise you to jump on each springboard several times, 3 as a minimum. And go through the springboards until you get the trophy. Personally, I thought about it at about 14-15 jumps.

I did roller skating jumps for 2 hours. The second time I got 2160 3047 on the springboard, which is not in the videos.

I would like to add on my own behalf that when you make the right jump, you make a characteristic sound, like a shot, and land on all four wheels, after which the trophy fell))

There are already 17 jumps in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_appOAWRwg
But I strongly advise you to repeat each one until you are satisfied.
The trophy, like everything else in this Whatman paper, is given in 10 seconds if you have made all the jumps.

Jumps made while completing DLC tracks also count towards the score.

IMPORTANT!!! If even after performing each jump 3 times you do not receive the trophy, you do not need to do it again and again. Just go to DR Tests and races - these jumps also count. He received his trophy at the ’66 race.

The jump is counted provided:
1) the camera moves away
2) the Batmobile lands on all 4 wheels.

I recommend not using nitro when accelerating the Batmobile, but turning it on immediately before driving onto the ramp and keeping the nitro in flight, this way you will be able to fly further. Good luck to everyone!

Another very good springboard in the unfinished subway, on Founders Island. A springboard through the water, which you tilt yourself and fix through a switch.

The trophy is buggy, no matter how many times I tried to knock it out, doing everything as in various videos, I never knocked it out. Tried more than 100 different jumps

How to get the trophy:
1. Jumps for 1 session of the game count. If you leave the game, the counter is reset to zero. POSSIBLY it also resets to zero when leaving the Batmobile. I haven't checked this
2. Jumps in which the camera moves away and a click occurs when landing are counted (example in the video guide at 4:26).
3. All jumps must be on different springboards. From the video you can choose the ones that are more convenient for you and do them.
4. The game does not always move the camera away when jumping, so it’s worth making several attempts if there is no click when landing
5. To click, you need to level the car (as I understand, there will be no click if the machine is tilted too much, so level it and everything will be ok.
Received the trophy after making a total of 13 jumps on 8 springboards. I had to jump several times to get it to click, so the trophy is not glitchy. There is simply no normal explanation for getting it.
