How to unlock the Blunt Trauma achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide
2. Popping out of a vent tunnel (the underground tunnels that can be entered while standing on them)
3. Swinging down from a ledge above (was able to achieve this from a wire walk, had trouble doing this from a ledge cause the enemy needed to be underneath of you a good bit)
4. Jumping down from a ledge above (with an enemy on a level below you it should give you the option)
5. Smashing through a ceiling/glass (with an enemy directly below you while you stand on the glass ceiling the takedown option should appear)
6. Inverted takedown from a perch (with an enemy directly below you while sitting on a perch the takedown option should appear)
7. Ceiling grate takedown from below (while the enemy is standing on or near the door in the ceiling you are under the takedown option should appear)
8. Ceiling grate takedown from above (same as number 7 on the list but you need to be above the grate door in the floor and the enemy below you and the option to takedown should appear)
9. Ledge takedown (while hanging off the side of a building/walkway with an enemy nearby the takedown option should appear)
10. Corner takedown (must take cover but crouching with and then pressing on a corner for the takedown option to appear)
11. Takedown through a weak wall (Suggest doing the stone wall takedown with explosive gel while an enemy is on the other side of the wall AND a wooden wall takedown when the option appears with an enemy on the other side of the wall AND a glass window takedown when an unaware enemy is on the other side of the window [thanks for this one Phoenix0689])
12. Grapnel Boost Takedown (with a guy near a ledge use the grapnel hook to head up toward the ledge and while in the air it should give the option to do the takedown if it is possible)
13. Line Launcher Takedown (must be sliding along the zip line, NOT sitting on the zip line. As you approach an unaware enemy the option should appear once he gets in range to be taken down)
14. Environment Takedown (Can be found as blue items while near them and if an enemy stands near them and can be taken down they will be highlighted in blue and you can then to the takedown with +)
15. Takedown through vent cover (when you are in the vents that you have to crouch walk into and send you into first person mode, you get the option to takedown an opponent just outside an exit that is still covered while an enemy is on the otherside) (added this to main list as a few people have stated that the achievement popped for them once doing this takedown, so thanks to those people for the input)
Bonus Takedowns! (These were not listed under my guide as needed for the achievement but it never hurts to try these takedowns if the above takedowns do not pop the achievement)
B1. Ice Smash Takedown (You need to freeze an unaware enemy with the freeze grenade and then when you are beside him the ice smash takedown option should show up, if you are in conflict this option doesn't appear) (another side note for this is that you can find the ice grenade in the theater after about 80% progression through the main story, they are on a table beside the farthest left holding cell as you enter the theater and are a missable pickup that is required for some of the riddler trophies)
B2. Ground Takedown (knock an enemy down by any means whether that be by batarang, sliding into them, or just punching them to the ground, and while you stand over them the option should appear as +)
I can confirm that these count if you do them in either story, new game +, AR Challenges, or a mixture there of. Many should come across natural gameplay and seizing the moment during the campaign playthrough.
Many of the required takedowns that are left over can be done on the challenge map "Under the Pale Moonlight" (which is being reported as glitchy to unlock so it may not be an option for you to play in the AR Challenges) there are plenty of enemies to bleed through without the need to keep restarting the challenge. The best tactic to get thugs into the places you want them to be is to use the Voice Synthesizer and just direct them to a position of your liking. Just realize that it can only be used a few times before you get caught onto and it is useless the rest of the predator scenario.
"After attempting this achievement 3 times, it finally popped (after a line launcher takedown, which i had done at least 5 times before.) What worked for me was doing all of the takedowns on the AR challenge map "Predator Fundamentals." You can do all takedowns on this map except for a ceiling takedown and a swing down takedown. Make sure you wait for it to finish saving before replaying the map. Good Luck"
So do this method first and get everything you can. It's really easy as there are only three enemies on the map. After that select a different Predator Challenge for the one or two you're missing. Just an FYI, the Predator Fundamentals challenge is one of the first VR tutorials that you get near the beginning of the game. It isn't listed under the Predator Challenges.
You can access the list of all takedowns in game by going to your upgrade menu and then looking through your moves list in the centre of the upgrades categories.
These are the takedowns you must do:
Inverted Takedown
Ceiling Takedown
Fear Multi-Takedown
Vent Takedown
Environment Takedown
Silent Takedown
Knockout Smash
Smoke Pellet Takedown
Window Takedown
Glide Kick
Takedown From Above
Drop Attack
Line Launcher Takedown
Wooden Wall Takedown
Corner Takedown
Perched Takedown
Floor Grate Takedown
Ledge Takedown
Grappel Boost Takedown
Ceiling Grate Takedown (From Above)
Ceiling Grate Takedown (From Below)
I personally just waited until around the end of the game and looked at the list to see whatever ones I knew I definitely hadn't done yet. I did the line launcher takedown and the trophy instantly popped. So you never know, you may just be one or two away from completing this through casual gameplay. Worst case scenario is you don't know what you have and haven't completed so just start at the beginning of the list and work your way through it.
Here is a video by PowerPyx showing each takedown and how to do each of them
There are a total of 21 different predator takedowns in the game, a list of all 21 is shown below. 17 of these are listed in-game, for more information on how and where to perform these 17 predator takedowns you can access the moves list from your Waynetech panel in-game. The bolded entries in the list below do not appear in the moves list but are still unique takedowns that must be performed for the achievement.
- Swing Down Takedown
- Drop Attack
- Knockout Smash
- Drop Down Takedown
- Ledge Takedown
- Corner Cover Takedown
- Silent Takedown
- Glide Kick
- Inverted Takedown
- Fear Multi-Takedown
- Smoke Pellet Takedown
- Grate Takedown
- Ceiling Takedown
- Window Takedown
- Wooden Wall Takedown
- Wall Grate Takedown
- Line Launcher Takedown
- Vent Takedown
- Environment Takedown
- Grapple Boost Takedown
- Ceiling Grate Takedown
Some of these will come naturally as you play through the game, the ceiling takedown when you first find Poison Ivy for example, as such we recommend keeping a checklist and marking each takedown off as you perform them to make tracking the achievement easier.
IMPORTANT: If you are attempting this achievement using the AR challenges you should access the predator challenges from story mode. If you do it from the main menu via AR select it will not register the takedowns properly which is why so many people claim it's glitched. So just start up the challenge from the open world and it should unlock without any problems. See video description for more details.

Great video on trophy boosting.
- do not select a test from the menu, only directly in the game itself, on the roof of the building;
- Do not restart the test - this automatically deletes the entire process. Complete the test in the usual way (neutralize all opponents);
- After completing the task, you can restart the task using the B key
