How to unlock the In Storybook Endings achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide

After you rescue the three hostages go back to the GCPD and interrogates the Mad Hatter again. After a short cut scene you will need to battle two waves of enemies before rescuing a cop near the Mad Hatters left hand. After that grapple to the next page and battle another two waves of enemies before rescuing the same cop near the Mad Hatters left hand. Again grapple to the next page where you will battle a third set of two waves of enemies. This time there will be the cop in the second wave. He is highlighted by a green outline similar to the informants for the riddler trophies. Save him until the end and interrogate him. This will allow you to escape. The achievement will pop after you interrogate the Mad Hatter.

Same here. I finished it twice, normal and new game plus and nothing. I have talk to him after putting him in jail, and every now and then whenever I go back to the Police Station. Nothing.

This mission is bugged. Took Mad Hatter back to GCPD, the door of the interrogate room shines orange. But the "A Open door" sign never shows up.

It's different for me, I got this achievement but not the two for rescuing the hostages, so I guess I'm restarting since I didn't really get that far.

Before an achievement encounter, always save by exiting to main menu (creates a game save) and then quitting the game (syncs to the cloud). If the achievement doesn't pop when you meet the requirements, delete your local game data (do NOT quit first) and retry.

You can also use the game's backup saves, but I've found these to be very inconsistent as to when they're created.

Once this villain's mission has been activated, venture inside the GCPD’s new wing and speak with Mad Hatter. He will reveal the location of the first hostage. Head there, activate Detective Vision, and keep your ears open for police sirens. Once you locate the police car, interact with the trunk to defuse the bombs and rescue the hostage. Repeat this again for the second and third hostage (who is missing) locations, and then return to the GCPD.

Speak with Mad Hatter when you arrive and you will soon find yourself trapped inside his “world.” Here, you’ll need to defeat the ambushing thugs, interact with the police hostage, and then quickly grapple to the “next page." After reaching the third page and defeating the thugs, interact with the hostage once more to escape from Hatter’s “world.” The achievement will unlock shortly after once you throw the lunatic in his cell.
