How to unlock the The Cult achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide

This is achieved by completing the side mission Lamb to the Slaughter. It's the last side mission that you will get, so it'll be quite late into the story.

To avoid spoilers, I'll just suggest that you check on Jack Ryder in the GCPD Interview Room, every time the main story requires you to go to GCPD. You'll know it's the right time when he isn't there, and you have a tape to listen to instead, which will begin the side mission.

It consists of a single, very simple mission that will offer no real challenge. But 3 upgrade points, so yay!

EDIT: It turns out that listening to Ryder's tape is not the only way to start this mission, as once you complete your next small objective of the main story, it will automatically be triggered.

For anyone annoyed by my vagueness, I've added some more concise but spoiler adjacent info below.

Hey mate, just a pretty important side note you might want to add. If you DON'T check the GCPD room with Jack Ryder to get the tape you will automatically get this side mission after you get to the point in the main storyline where you are restoring the servers in the clocktower in order to find Gordon.

This achievement is earned for completing the "Lamb to the Slaughter" Most Wanted Side Mission.

Towards the end of the story you will be notified that Jack Ryder has gone missing and you will be directed to investigate the Lady of Gotham statue located on the small central island in the bay. When you arrive you will find Ryder in trouble and a large group of enemies to defeat. Once the fight begins you will have 3 minutes to defeat all the enemies, save Ryder and capture his attacker. Pull this off and the achievement will unlock.

To get the trophy you need to complete one of the side quests. Towards the end of the game, the Oracle will inform you that the reporter was kidnapped by sectarians. The task is marked on the map, so you can easily go to your destination and complete this task.

You can start the task without notification by the Oracle. Just always stop by Ryder on your way back from the station. When he disappears from the office, then the task begins. The main thing is to go to his recordings and listen to them.
