How to unlock the The Long Halloween achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide
I wasn't going to post anything for this achievement seeing as everyone knows how to get it, But there were few people struggling with it.
So here are some tips for your new game + run, If you were like me when going for this achievement it was the last one on my list to do before completing this game so I ran through it as fast as possible.
Tips: Be aware the game sets you on Knightmare mode and you will not be able to switch your difficultly, Also remember that it doesn't tell you when to counter. So some fights can be tough.
EDIT: You only need to beat the main story for this achievement all side missions can be skipped.
Parts you might get stuck on:
Sneaky tank Part/ Chasing ArkhamKnight
There is one part of the game were you need to sneak by some tanks to get into this room where a bunch of thugs will charge in. If you're still confused about this part a tank will burst through the door at the end of the fight. Anyway, For this fight I thought it made it alot easier using the lights to take out the sword users and brutes. Also getting your combo high enough to use a any kind of take down helps a lot as well.
Now you guys might get stuck at other parts throughout the game, Im just giving you tips for the parts I had alot of trouble with.
Red Hood Boss Fight
The next part I had trouble with was taking out the red hood, What I found the easiest to do was to bum rush him when he wasnt looking. Not killing any thugs till he was taken out. This worked for me not sure if it will be easy for you to do. You can tell when to rush when hes looking away from you and nothing is around you. You can easily just get right under him and take him out. Then after that just take out the thugs and repeat.
Defending the Police station
This part is a lot easier then you think, The first part where you need to get into the bat mobile try to emp as much as you can and take out every tank she hacks for you, And I would suggest having you bat mobile fully upgraded by this point for the double dodge skill for it( This helps alot).
Once you made it past the tanks you will go onto the roof which has to be the hardest part of the game so far, For this part you'll get stuck with a couple of guys and brute. I suggest taking the brute out with the fence right off the bat and then dealing with the rest of the guys. Next more will get dropped off including a medic, Now what I did when this happened I would first take out the medic and then try to deal with the rest of the thugs using a lot of the environment. Once you get the cut scene you're safe and got a checkpoint(Thank god) Next you'll be faced with 2 Brutes, What I did was kill one with the environment next I just used a normal takedown (B+Y), It might take 2 of those to take him out, Next was medics and sword guys. for both I used a lot normal takedowns. But once you've done all this you're home free!!
Good Luck to you all!
If you vote neg or think i should add another part of the game please let me know and Ill add it. Also I know a guide like this wasnt really necessary, But I seen a guide for the riddler trials haha. I thought if i were to make a guide I'd make a nice one that should hopfully help anyone going for this achievement. Thank you!!

I hardly think that the combat with goons is the hardest part. It's that bloody tank battle with AK towards the end. I can totally foresee that goddamn Batmobile preventing me from finishing this game

Well just try emping as much as you can, I found it helped because it made it so not alot of tanks were aiming at you and then shoot all of the tank she hacks for you. Then dodge alot, It really helps to have the double dodge just incase you dodge into a rough spot you can just dodge right back out.
Good luck njDevil Im sure you can do it :)

As EQ GreenArrow points out, one of the hardest (if not the hardest) fights is on top of the GCPD building. Here's a tip to a good start of that fight:
When you grapnel your way to the roof (when Oracle tells you on the comms she can help you take out thugs, you just have to set them up) stick to the LEFT side on your way up. On the right side there's 2 thugs by the elevator, you wanna go up on the other side (pretty much straight up from the checkpoint). When you get to the roof on the left side (maybe hop down over the railing) you can FEAR MULTI-takedown a thug. Depending on upgrades (I assume most people have this skill upgraded to x5 at this point) you can take out 3-5 thugs before the fight really starts!
I know thugs aren't the hard part of this fight, but every bit helps and this sets you up for a good start.

Nice tip but I haven't found the right location at first. This video might help others as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ8tPmJ1fd4

Just in case anyone was wondering, this Achievement unlocks AFTER you defeat Scarecrow, the cutscene plays and you deliver him to Cash at the GCPD and the elevator door closes. For me the Achievement showed up while Batman was talking to Alfred after the elevator door closed.
Also, you do NOT need to 100% the game on New Game Plus to get this Achievement, you only need to complete the "City of Fear" Most Wanted mission to 100% to get the Achievement, so unless you skipped getting the complete Knightfall Protocol on your first game, you don't have to bother with ANY of the side missions on New Game Plus. It will make it a lot faster and easier to get this Achievement if you skip all the side missions. Basically, unless it's part of the "City of Fear" missions, you can skip it.
Also in case you were wondering, you can NOT wear any of the awesome DLC Batsuits for the final cutscenes. Even if you equip a different Batsuit when entering the final story mission area, the game will revert you to the standard Batsuit when you reach the final story area. Which made no sense since the initial cutscene where you put on the Batsuit works with every DLC Batsuit.

It’s because it’s pre-rendered. The cutscenes that are real time can wear the other suits

It's stupid that they let you play the entire game as Keaton's Batman but then force you out of it for that one cutscene.

This is the only achievement tied to the New Story + mode, which unlocks after you complete the game for the first time. A few things to note about new game plus are:
- The difficulty is automatically set to Knightmare
- The yellow counter indicator and the red danger indicator are turned off.
- Enemies have more health and hit harder.
- Enemy vehicles do increased damage and fire faster, their line of sight indicator will still appear however.
- All of your gadgets and upgrades carry over.
- All of the Riddler Challenges carry over.
- Side mission progress will be reset.
To unlock this achievement you only need to power through the main story and defeat Scarecrow. Try to avoid unnecessary fights and this shouldn't be too difficult with a fully upgraded Dark Knight.

In order to gain access to the New Game +, you don’t have to complete the game below average, it also opens on easy!
As in previous parts of Batman, you will be offered to go through the New Game + with increased difficulty "Nightmare", on this difficulty the enemies hit harder and the icon above them for a counterattack is not displayed. In general, the second playthrough is not difficult.

You only need to complete the main missions; it is not necessary to start the Knightfall protocol.

The only difficult moment in NG+ is at the end. Defense of the police station. But this moment is easy to pass by hiding around the corner of the building - when exiting to the left, behind a wooden wall. Tanks are destroyed one at a time, when driving around a corner, with critical hits, you can also drive around behind the building and shoot from the other side. Pre-shoot down homing installations with your homing missiles (square).
