How to unlock the Crime Scene Investigator achievement in Batman: Arkham Origins - Definitive Guide
By the time you reach the first Comm tower a Case file will open up which is a crime scene where you go in and can gather clues in order to reconstruct what has happened and apprehend the suspect. Once you have completed one Case file the next one will open up for you to complete and so on until you reach the 9th and final one. After this you really will feel like a Crime Scene Investigator.
If a Case file is not appearing try progressing through the campaign checking back after the next main point in the campaign has occurred.
Edit: thanks to ironfelixxx for confirming that the last two case files do not open up until you finish the main storyline.
Below are the solutions to each Case File incase you get stuck.
Case File 1: Coventry Tower Deathtrap
Case File 2: Lacey Towers Murders
Case File 3: Jezebel Plaza Fall
Case File 4: Dixon Docks Shooting
Case File 5: Coventry Fire
Case File 6: Helicopter Crash
Case File 7: Burnley Hit & Run
Case File 8: Amusement Mile Mauling
Case File 9: Crime Alley Shootings

There are nine casefiles in total. Two, the Coventry Tower Deathtrap and Lacey Tower Murders are story related and cannot be missed. Helicopter crash is part of the Deadshot Most Wanted, and starts at the SOS broadcast on the map. The other 6 are given to you one by one as you complete them. The Casefiles themselves are fairly straight forward, as you are pretty much walked through it by Batman's dialogue. Search for red triangles to find clues, and when prompted to, use rewind reconstruction to look for items of interest mentioned by Batman. After you solve the crime, you are given a location of the culprit in the case of the free roam casefiles, and you must go and beat them up before advancing to the next case. After the final case, Crime Alley Shooting, this will unlock.
During your playtrough, Batman will come across crime scenes that take place within the main storyline or through radio calls dispatched by the GCPD. You will need to investigate these locations in order to complete the case file for that specific crime. The first crime scene you come across during the game will take place shortly after you have left the Batcave and make a stop in the Coventry Radio Tower.
In order to initiate these crime scene investigations, tap the to activate detective mode. Now you will need to search the crime scene for small red triangles which will be points of interest. Hold down the to scan these points and Batman will begin narrating what he believes to have happened at the crime scene.
As you work on these investigations, you will sometimes need to review the evidence by fast forwarding or rewinding the reconstructed events. To do that, simply hold to rewind or to fast forward. After you have successfully finished a crime scene investigation, you will notice the crime scene progress bar on the right side of the screen flash at 100% completion. Below, you can find a list of all the case files in the game, and whether they are related to the main storyline or are radioed in by the GCPD.
