How to unlock the Give Them Something to Believe achievement in Batman: Arkham Origins - Definitive Guide

New Game + is exactly the same as Story Mode, only you start off with all your upgrades and equipment. This doesn't include story based equipment, such as Electucioner's gloves.

Gameplay is much the same, the main difference being that the counter indicator isn't there anymore, so you'll have to rely on your eyes to time counters.

The enemies you encounter will be harder, earlier. You'll encounter Martial Artists earlier and a lot more enemies will be armored, including those during predator rooms, meaning you'll have to take them out in ways other than silent takedowns, making it a little more difficult.

Just progress through the story the same way you did the first time, and with a little time, and perseverance, you should get this easily enough. :)

Do you have to just beat the story on New Game +, or the story and all the side missions and collectibles?

Just beat the story. Your collectibles carry over from the first Story Mode. However picking them up in New Game + doesn't make them disappear from your map in Story Mode. It's probably just a bug, so it'll be fixed, but for now, be careful. You can check which collectibles you need on the Most Wanted file if you do pick any up in New Game +.

Hope that helps! :D

One question, if I beat NG+ or IATN mode before doing the challenges, will the challenges be set to that difficulty? No counter icons and such?

No, they're the same difficulty you originally played them on. You might be able to access them through NG+ or IATN mode and THEN they may be harder. But if you just go to them normally they should be the same.

I know. It's pretty ridiculous.

I found the increase in Martial Artists more annoying. At least you can Y+B Takedown armored dudes. Martial Artists you have to knock down on the ground and X+A Takedown them. :/

Is there a difference in doing a regular playthrough on normal and then doing new game plus vs. doing a regular playthrough on hard and then doing new game plus?

I finished the game on easy and realized after I beat it and got all the collectibles that I couldn't start a new game+ because I didn't beat it on normal. Is there anyway to reset my save so that I can play through again on normal or do I have to create another save?

Yeah. Regular playthrough on Hard still has counter indicators and the same enemies, they're just more difficult.

New Game + has harder enemies and no counter indicator.

Nope, you go into the save you created and instead of choosing to load the game you choose 'Start New Game +'

Your challenges are all still in your Story Mode, which you can access at any time even after starting New Game +. You can also access them from the same menu as each of the game modes.

@AMDMgames you cannot change difficulty once you start a new game it's permanent for that save file, you'll have to create another save but my advice is do as many collectibles as soon as you get to free roam you can get over half of them at the start of the game it helps get lots of upgrades early on as well & it saves a lot of running around later on also easier to enjoy the missions knowing you knocked out most of the collectibles.

New Game Plus is unlocked after completing the story for the first time on medium or above. All your upgrades, collectibles and Dark Knight challenges are carried through to NG+. The tougher enemies come earlier in the game, and are higher in frequency. Finally, there are no counter icons so you need to rely on looking for enemies trying to hit you to counter, or continuously jump over enemies. You don't need to do side missions again so you can just go straight to objectives. This will pop at the final cutscene.

After you complete the Story on either Normal or Hard, you will unlock New Game+ in the Main Menu. This "mode" is essentially the same as your first playthrough with a few minor adjustments. Primarily, and most importantly, any upgrades you purchased on your first playthrough will be available right from the beginning of your New Game+ playthrough. This will prove to be beneficial as the earlier encounters in the game can be completed much quicker with your advanced gadgetry and skill set.

Another difference in this mode is that is that the counter indicator that appears in combat does not show up anymore. You will need to time your counters perfectly and be fully alert while in combat. Furthermore, the enemies you encounter will be much more aggressive. Simple unarmed goons will now be replaced with armored thugs and other high-leveled enemies.

Overall, this playthrough shouldn't be too troublesome if you remain alert in combat and preserve through the more difficult sections of the story mode. The great thing about this achievement is that you will not have to worry about any side missions, thus reducing the amount of time you spend on this playthrough significantly. Remember, you start out with all your previous upgrades - minus story-related gadgets - so good luck and play carefully!
