You can't use quick-fire zip-kick.... It won't unlock. I would add that note to your solution.

(Missable) To Zip Kick, select it with 
on the d-pad, aim with 
and fire it with 
. You cannot do the Quick Fire version as it won’t unlock. You have to aim and fire. The first two groups of thugs that you encounter will be groups of three, so either is the perfect opportunity to get this.
