How to unlock the Gotham Base Jumper achievement in Batman: Return to Arkham - Arkham City - Definitive Guide

Progress the story until you get to Wonder Tower. Go to the large ledge just before you grapnel up to the maintenance hatch and jump glide

Push forward (or backwards depending on your controls) on the left stick from the very beginning of the jump, so that way you are flying up. If you don't you will fall. There are times where the game makes you fly up, circle back to the left or right until you're facing the city again.

Another way could be use the Telephone pole (I think that what it is, I dunno) and power grapnle off of the pole to continue your flight.

Thanks. I did want to point out that if you went up to the second "pole" in the one in the video (IGN), that if you accidentally grapple the cable that ties them together, it will cancel your fly and immediately perch. I did the grappling method and it is kind of rage-y. Now I wish I had watched both videos. The first one from RoosterTeeth is so much easier.

You will need to access Wonder Tower from the elevator in Wonder City in order to earn this trophy. You will also need to climb some way up the tower in order to earn this trophy, as jumping from the elevator platform will cause Batman to fall and save himself with the batclaw.

After climbing some way up the tower, glide off and head away from it. Eventually you will hit an invisible wall, and Batman will turn back automatically. After he does so, rotate around and hit the wall again. Each of these animations will not cause Batman to lose elevation or be registered as having stopped gliding, and the time spent in these animations does count for this trophy. The trophy will unlock as soon as you spend 60 seconds while gliding.

The below video by PowerPyx demonstrates this.
