This choice is story related at the end of the Dazzling Hope quest. You'll know it's coming up when you meet Padara, an excited little guy.
After completing a puzzle room, you'll reach a stone and you'll have a choice - "Gather the energy" or "Protect the Destroyers."
To earn this achievement, you must choose "Gather the energy." You then need to return to Izanak in town before the achievement will pop.
Note: The game autosaves right before you make the choice, so you can reload that save to make the other choice and get the Unexpected Mindfullness achievement. If you choose "Protect the Destroyers," that achievement will pop immediately without needing to return to town.
