Run the Gauntlet
Rather than giving a ton of effort in the early stages of your base you can wait to do the campaign until you have really strong units that are much above the level of the missions. The campaign missions do not increase in difficulty while your base and units increase in power. So once you attain a high level base and powerful units you can jump right into the campaign and crush the missions obtaining 3 stars every time.
I easily busted through the campaign in the Classical age, having 30 legionary (Regular infantry) 10 Sagittarius (Regular ranged infantry), and 4 Chariots (the unit that costs 5 housing space) available every battle. Remember that Chariots go straight for Towers or Ballista's. 3 star the first 20 missions and this achievement is yours.

In addition to Le Lone Wolf's guide, I would like to point out that you can dashboard and quit the game to prevent the loss of troops if you are about to lose!

For This Trophy All You Need To Do Is Play Through The Campaign And Get The 3 Stars Of Each Mission. Don't Worry If You Don't Get All 3 On Your First Attempt, Because You Can Just Play Them Later On When You Have Upgraded Your Troops So It Is Easier To Run Through. Once You Hit 60 Total Stars The Trophy Will Drop.

This will come very easily. You don't even need to finish the campaign and you can start any time you want. If you upgrade your troops until they are stronger, you can then breeze through the campaign enough in order to get your 60 stars. Focus on multiplayer for a bit, upgrade, and then play the campaign.
