First, you'll have to join an alliance. Tab over to alliance, and join one(I would recommend joining one with a lot of people), which will get you a different achievement as well.
Then hit
on "new messages" until you see "donations". Here you will see a list of people requesting donations. Donate a unit to one of them to get this achievement.
