How to unlock the Kaboom achievement in Battle Los Angeles - Definitive Guide

You achieve this on the 2nd mission towards the end of the level. It is a main objective and cannot be missed. Just cover your AI partner while he storms the gas station, then he will tell you to shoot the gas tank of a truck. Then achievement is yours :)

WATCH THE VIDEO!!!! Info prior to watching the video: Make sure to play on an easy difficulty. You will gain the achievement after covering Nant's Gas station assault. I would recommend the sniper however due to the lack of recoil in game the assault rifle can also be used. Shooting Cars will result in an explosion kill enemies.

This achievement is story related; you cannot miss this achievement.

During the second mission, when you have to cover Nants as he goes to the gas station you will need to shoot the gas tank to destroy the Alien Air Unit. The achievement will unlock once you shoot the gas tank.

This achievement requires you to survive past a certain point in the story and destroy a tanker.

You will be asked to cover Nantz as he runs through the gas station to plant an explosive on a tanker. You will have to kill approximately 30 enemy aliens and monitor Nantz health as he plants the device. I suggest using the available sniper rifle with 'Auto Aim' enabled. Once he plants the device, you will be directed to shoot the gas tank of the tanker.

The achievement should pop once you see the resulting explosion after shooting the tanker. The target will be highlighted.

Story related and cannot be missed.

During the second mission, you will have to provide sniper fire for Nantz at the gas station. Once you have killed enough aliens, you will be signaled to shoot the gas tank of a truck and blow up the alien space craft, after which the trophy should pop.
