I will provide general tips for each game mode if you're struggling.

(Its worth noting the achievement does not say it has to be online, so it can probably be easily boosted with another controller, but where's the fun in that? ) edit - tmw666 confirmed it can be boosted in private co-op with a second controller.

1. Soul Snatcher - Hit enemies to make them drop their souls and grab them and hold onto them to earn points, also while avoiding the enemy to hold onto your own soul. Use a good weapon for killing like the grenade/exploding frog, and if you get a soul and still have your own just avoid the enemy at all costs.

2. Muckle - Free for all deathmatch from many other MP games, hitting/killing enemies awards points, again use a good weapon for killing or if everyone else is doing the same switch to the Fan or something to counter it.

3. Challenge - 1v1 or 2v2 levels to race against the other team, when you go second you get to watch them play first so its pretty easy to beat them after, although you'll be first afterwards anyway so its pretty even.

4. King of the Hill - I sell propane and propane accessories...*cough* i mean stay on the golden blocks usually in the center of the arena to earn points and keep the enemy away from it. Grenades are good when they are all grouped up on the hill, the best attack is probably the uppercut, by holding down and pressing B you launch enemies into the air and off the hill.

5. Color the World - Color blocks to your color by touching them, for a few seconds they will flash which means the enemy can still steal it so be careful, a good tactic is to simply follow behind the enemy team and tag every block he does, it means he is pretty much wasting his time completely and giving away points.

6. Grab the Gold - The flying golden whale drops gold which you need to collect and then return to the flying safe, you can hit or jump on the enemies head to make them drop gold, many arenas for Grab the Gold have many cloud blocks in, abuse these and the way they work to help avoid the enemy.

7. Ball Game - Find the controls in options>how to play>arena>ball game, the ball drops from the center of the stage so if the enemy is about to score and is too far away, just wait under the block that drops it. To defend use a weapon like the grenade and just spam it when the enemy is near your goal, a good tactic with the ball is to stay above the enemy and keep jumping off their head so they can't hit you.

8. Capture the Horse - You need to capture the other teams horse and ride it to your stable to score points, while protecting your own, again here you can abuse the way the cloud blocks work when defending your horse, basically if the clouds are a 1 way door just keep circling around leading the enemy in circles until he gives up.

Can be done alone. It is a very easy achievement.

Just choose local game / arena / versus.

Then play & win a game of each type (from number 01 to 08).

You will play against a bot.

For each game mode :

just finish & win the first match. Then, press start, leave the current level. Once in the level hub, press start again and change arena mode.

Once you have done this for each mode, the achievement will unlock. It took me 15 minutes to do it.
