How to unlock the Armed and Dangerous achievement in BattleBlock Theater - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for purchasing all the weapons from the gift shop. The weapons are bought from the cats on the upper floor of the gift shop for a price of 5 yarn each. When you purchase a weapon you receive a random one from among those you do not yet have (no repeats). In total there are 13 weapons (exploding Frisbee, grenade, boomerang, yarn ball, fireball, ice block, fan, vacuum, top hat, plasma ball, paper airplane, frog bomb, acid ball), but you always start out with the Frisbee weapon, so in order to get this achievement you need to purchase 12 weapons total (assuming you dont trade any weapons away). This will cost 60 yarn balls.
One yarn is hidden on each story level, if you collect it over the course of the level and then finish the level you will earn it. Each yarn can be earned only once, if you repeat the level you won’t gain an additional yarn, though I believe that normal and insane mode count as separate levels for this purpose, and I know that solo and coop count as separate levels.
Alternately there is a way to gain infinite yarn by exploiting a glitch in the trading interface, though it is somewhat tedious. If you have no yarn, and you open up the trade interface, and then select the spot where 1 yarn would normally be (directly above the 0 gems slot) then it will in fact let you choose 1 yarn to offer up to trade (even though 1 yarn did not actually show up as something you could offer). When you execute such a trade, your yarn will remain at zero, but your trading partner’s yarn will increase by one yarn, thus 'creating' a yarn. No other spots on the trading interface seem to follow this behavior (ie if you select something you don’t have on any other spot you end up not changing your offer at all). If you use a disposable profile with no yarn in local mode, you can continuously trade yarn to yourself until you have 60 yarn, and then purchase all weapons.
I am not sure when or if this glitch (which I would surmise is unintentional on part of the developers) will be patched but I will try and update this solution if changes are made that break this method.

Note: just noticed that the 'bonus yarn' glitch works even if you currently have yarn (up to 20 current yarn). What you do is just try to select one more yarn than you currently have. Thus you can do this in 30 trades, rather than 60 if you have each member of the trade create a yarn (make sure to spend some of the yarn halfway through to stay under 20 yarn).

There are a total of 13 weapons.
Fan, Vacuum, Ice block gun, Acid Bubble gun, Fireball, Missile Launcher, Bouncy Ball, Boomerang, Grenade, Exploding Frisbee, Exploding Frog, Shock Ball and Exploding Paper Air Plane.
You get a random weapon by spending 5 Yarn at the top floor of the gift shop, you can earn 1 Yarn in each level of the solo/co-op campaign.
It will cost 65 Yarn to buy them all.

It costs 60 yarn to buy them all, one is given when you start the game

I think the other solution already covered this (and more).

There are thirteen weapons total, twelve of which you will need to buy for a cost of 60 yarn. This should be doable in a standard playthrough. Trading for weapons is an option, but there is really no reason to do it since there is way more yarn in the game than needed for this.

We use a glitch for an endless exchange of balls.
You will need two controllers.
The functionality of the glitch was checked personally by me at the latest version of the game at the moment.
You will need two controllers.
- Unlike the previous glitch, here you can use a “seasoned” profile, i.e. the second profile can play the game and collect collectibles.
- Theoretically, the glitch can work with a 0 to 0 exchange, but still, make sure that both characters have at least one tangle.
- We start the game, go to the exchange office, which is located in the gift shop.
- Both players go to their menu (RT).
- Find the icon of the ball that you already have.
- You need to select not this icon, but the one that is one space to the right (shadow icon).
- Activate it, a red cross will start flashing on it, but the terms of the transaction will be approved.
- That is, if you have 1 ball, and you chose 2 balls for exchange (which you do not have), then on the exchange monitor, after selecting the shadow icon of 2 balls, an active icon with 2 balls will be displayed.
- The second player also selects the shadow icon next to the last ball.
- Deal! Both players receive 1 ball.
- You can repeat until you get tired of it.
- The longer you use this glitch, the more balls you can earn on one transaction.

There are only 13 (thirteen) types of weapons in the game.
For each weapon you will have to pay 5 (five) balls of yarn.
To get the achievement you will need 65 ( sixty-five ) balls of yarn.

Personally, it’s better to go through several levels and earn balls and exchange 5 balls for new weapons! I personally received an achievement by earning tangles; no glitches are needed for the endless exchange of diamonds with tangles! It's better to just earn and exchange
