Upon reaching player command level 3 you can setup gear loadouts.
Once unlocked you should have at least a few pieces of Epic and/or Legendary gear. Epic gear is colored purple and while they all have different activation costs, they should all have a sell value of 150. Legendary color rarity is brown and I believe all of them have a activation cost of 1800 and sell for 250.
Fill all three slots with any combination of purples and/or browns. I advise against going all brown as it will take longer but it's your choice.
Now simply get into a match, collect the small crystals, destroy the big crystals and kill enemies until you get prompted to activate a piece of gear.
Press
on the d-pad and press whatever button to activate whatever piece of gear you want.
Next go back to collecting crystals until you can buy a second piece of gear and then again for the third and final piece.
