I found it easier to farm "The Price of Disarmament" in the next area after Geoff. You will encounter two Swarmers that spawn infinite little swarmers. These are easier to get in straight line and there are a lot more than 4 on each try. Also these don't shoot you at all so you'll be fine just as you run away from them. Just try to avoid hitting the big ones. I got about 60/100 of the challenge in 30min.
It'll be faster if you get to level 9 before this area and choose helix "Cut the line". It'll make it faster to use the clothesline skill again as it will give -10% cooldown per enemy hit.

Since the July Patch: 1000 minions is now 100, 50 players is now 20, 5 matches is now 3
