Battlefield 1
50 Achievements
Naval Weapons Collection
Perform a kill with all "Turning Tides" weapon variants
How to unlock the Naval Weapons Collection achievement in Battlefield 1 - Definitive Guide
You must get a kill with the following weapons. These are the requirements to unlock each weapon. Also, if you pick up a weapon off a dead enemy and get a kill with it, it counts towards your achievement.
Assault
Maschinenpistole M1912
Perform 50 kills with Automatico M1918 Storm
Destroy 5 boats with the AT Rocket Gun
(Note: progress can be gained by destroying empty boats, an enemy does not have to be in it to get progress)
M1917 Trench Carbine
Perform 15 kills with sidearms
Perform 5 multikills
(Note: I believe this is 2 or 3+ kills within succession for the multi kills. I got in the new destroyer ship and got multi kills with the main gun, I focused on enemy boats as they regularly had more than 1 enemy inside them)
Medic
Farquhar-Hill Optical
Perform 25 headshots with the Farquhar-Hill Storm
Complete 20 squad orders (Play Conquest and look for the green icons around objectives and make your way and capture it
Farquhar-Hill Storm
Perform 25 kills with the M1907 SL Trench
In a round, perform 10 revives
Support
M1917 MG Low Weight
Perform 25 kills with the BAR M1918 Trench
Perform 250 vehicle damage using explosives
M1927 MG Telescopic
Perform 50 kills with the M1917 MG Low Weight
Perform 1500 points of suppression with any LMG
(Note: Suppression points are earned by suppressing enemies, and not killing them, after earning the M1917 MG Low Weight, I just fired continuously at large groups of enemies without killing them and earned all 1500 points in 2 games)
Scout
Type 38 Arisaka Infantry
Perform 25 counter sniping kills
As a scout, perform 3 multikills
(Note:Counter-sniping kills are kills on other snipers. The Multikills are tough to do with a sniper, so I'd suggest playing on Albion and getting in a boat and attacking other boats or playing on Argonne forest and getting in the Behemoth, easy enough to get multi kills in those vehicles that don't make you spawn as a tanker class)
Carcano M91 Carbine
Perform 25 kills with the Gewehr M.95 Carbine
Destroy 5 explosives
(Note: the 5 explosives will be hard to do legit, I'd play on the standard Conquest maps and keep your eye out for mines on the ground)
Melee weapon
Naval Cutlass
Capture 20 flags while in a boat
Perform 15 kills on swimming enemies
(Note: Flag captures can be obtained on Fao Fortress and Albion)
For those who are struggling to get swimming kills, play shock operations on Zeebruge. As a defender during first phase, there is a lot of boats coming in on A, so you will have plenty of opportunities to kill someone who bails from them. Also the last phase where spawns are split with broken bridge, bring a lot of opportunities as attackers have to swim quite a big distance to get to land, making them easy targets.
If you want easy flag captures with boat without anyone bothering you, search a game with Fao Fortress map and also check the option to disable pre round in advanced tab so you can play by yourself. Search for a server with conquest mode (I was able to find couple empty servers) and spawn in the boat. From a boat you can get point A,B,C,G. After getting them kill yourself (drowning is an option), change teams, and do it all over again with opposite side.
This is the most time-consuming trophy of the DLC, especially if you are working towards it legitimately by unlocking each gun. As per the previous DLCs, Turning Tides introduced a slew of new weapons and you’ll need a kill with each one to unlock this trophy. There are 9 weapons that require you to get at least one kill, and it doesn’t matter whether you unlock them yourself and get a kill, or use the weapon after picking it up from a dead soldier - any kill will count.
I would recommend working on unlocking each weapon but also keep an eye out on the ground when you come across dropped weapons. Also, note the player's name when you happen to get killed by a weapon you need - if you can kill him later on, he might well be still carrying that weapon so you can quickly pick it up and try. Everything is trackable in the Soldier tab, under 'Weapons & Gadgets'. That includes checking progress on the Assignments you are working towards, and also whether or not you have a kill with each of the 9 weapons.
Most of the Weapon Assignments are pretty straightforward, with one or two exceptions. Here is the complete list of weapon variants that require kills, as well as their Assignments:

- Carcano M91 Carbine
- Perform 25 kills with the Gewehr M.95 Carbine

-
MELEE
- Naval Cutlass
- Capture 20 flags while in a boat
- Perform 15 kills on swimming enemies
- Naval Cutlass
Some of these are more annoying than others, so here are a few tips to help with unlocking them.
- Destroy 5 boats with the AT Rocket Gun (Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16 Storm) - A good place to work towards this is Cape Helles, whilst on the Ottoman Empire side. If you lay low on the beach/rocks facing towards the British spawn, you will be inundated with boats charging towards the shore. Empty enemy boats also count but you have to be quick as they self-destruct when empty for too long. Alternatively - boost it on any map with boats. Have your boosting partner drive towards your location and blow them up 5 times. It helps if you capture a flag near to the enemy boat spawn so you can redeploy a few times to get more rockets, and not be too far from them.
- Complete 20 Squad Orders (Farquhar-Hill Optical) - This simply means successfully capturing or defending an objective that has been marked with by the squad leader 20 times. You’ll notice when something is designated as an order when the objective is marked with green arrows. If you are playing with randoms, you may not have a squad leader who does this - you can either start a squad yourself and mark and do them solo or with people who join, or oust him by requesting an order a few times ( + ) until leadership gets passed to you/he sets an order to follow.
- Perform 1500 points of suppression with any LMG (M1917 MG Telescopic) - Since the other assignment for this weapon is to perform 50 kills with the M1917 MG Low Weight, equip that and lay prone looking at an area where you know there are enemies. Now, just fire endlessly at their general location. I found Supply Drop (a game mode introduced in ‘In the Name of the Tsar’) to be excellent for this. The suppression points rack up in no time.
- As a Scout, perform 3 Multi kills (Type 38 Arisaka Infantry) - This one can be tough as infantry using the Scout weapons but as mentioned earlier in the guide, jumping into the gunner seat of the L-Class Destroyer (or most other vehicles and even behemoths for that matter) and taking out vehicles makes this very easy. Just make sure you aren’t the driver or you won’t be a Scout.
- Destroy 5 explosives (Carcano M91 Carbine) - This will likely come naturally but if you need to try for it, a good method is to use the spot flare as a Scout and occasionally you will see a small red symbol on the minimap which is an enemy explosive, whether it be an anti-tank mine, tripwire or similar. Look out for these and shoot them to destroy them if needed.
- Capture 20 flags while in a boat (Naval Cutlass) - This one can be a pain but there are a couple of ways to do it. The legit way is to constantly play Conquest on Heligoland Bight and relentlessly go for flags. The problem with this is that everyone is usually doing the same and your boat is an easy target. The other way makes this a doddle - do them on an empty server using the method in the roadmap. I did 18 captures solo with nobody else in the lobby and it was a breeze this way.
- Perform 15 kills on swimming enemies (Naval Cutlass) - The second of the assignments for the Naval Cutlass is arguably worse than the first. It’s rare to see an enemy swimming, so it’s a lengthy one to get legitimately. The best way is to hang around a body of water that is deep enough for enemies to be swimming, but not so long that they won’t bother - prime location for this criteria being Albion from the ‘In the Name of the Tsar’ DLC between A, B & C on Conquest. Stay low and silent on the shore with a large capacity LMG and wait for enemies to start swimming, then take them out. Alternatively, this one can be boosted with ease. Have your partner capture a flag near water and then keep running into it and swimming while you kill them. Wait on the shore and don’t capture their flag so they can keep spawning there and make it quicker. It takes mere minutes this way.
Of course, it is possible to boost this trophy, not only by doing the Assignments together but also by finding a partner who can 'drop' the weapons for you. It's very simple to meet up in a server and have your partner equip the gun you need, then redeploy, dropping the weapon when they die. All you need to do is pick it up and kill them with it when you meet again.
If you are a Battlefield 1 veteran and have played the previous DLC add-ons you should be familiar with this type of achievement. In this specific case, each class has two new weapons along with one new melee weapon that must be unlocked by completing weapon assignments (listed below). Once each weapon is unlocked, you must equip it and perform at least one kill with it. The achievement tracker should increase by 11% after your first kill with each new weapon.
It is also worth noting that if you pick up a new weapon from an enemy and perform a kill with it, this will count towards the achievement even if you have not personally unlocked the weapon yet. This can help if you are stuck on a weapon assignment or if you don’t mind boosting.
Another important item to note is that even though there are two unique weapon assignments for each of the four classes, each requirement does not necessarily need to be completed by using a specific class. For example, one of the requirements to unlock the Assault Class M1917 Trench Carbine is to perform fifteen kills with sidearms. However, these fifteen kills can be completed while using any class or a combination of classes not just the Assault class.
Assault:
Maschinenpistole M1912
Perform 50 kills with the Automatico M1918 Storm
The Automatico M1918 Storm is a short ranged powerful weapon with a limited number of rounds per clip. It is best to go for these kills in close quarters or in trench warfare.
Destroy 5 boats with the AT Rocket Gun
It is worth noting that empty, unmanned boats count toward this requirement and can make this go quite a bit faster. Albion Flag C is a great place to get these.
M1917 Trench Carbine
Perform 15 kills with sidearms
This is pretty straightforward, just use a pistol of your choice and eliminate fifteen enemies. Close quarters combat and unsuspecting enemies make this go faster.
Perform 5 multikills
A multikill is awarded for killing two or more enemies within a couple of seconds. This is most easily accomplished by blowing up a vehicle with multiple enemies inside of it. I personally earned this without even trying when going for the fifteen L-Class Destroyer kills.
Medic:
Farquhar-Hill Optical
Perform 25 headshots with the Farquhar-Hill Storm
This is one of the two new weapons added to the Medic class. It is a semi-automatic rifle with decent range and a healthy amount of rounds in a clip. See below for unlock requirements.
Complete 20 squad orders
This is best done during Conquest or Conquest Assault. The Squad Leader can aim at a flag and press ‘RB’. This puts green arrows around the flag and shows other squad members which flag they should move towards. Capturing or defending a marked flag will complete a squad order and grant extra experience.
Farquhar-Hill Storm
Perform 25 kills with the M1907 SL Trench
Self-explanatory.
In a round, perform 10 revives
Make sure you have a Medical Syringe equipped as one of your gadgets. Look for green or blue skull and crossbones icons over recently defeated teammates and revive, revive, revive. Ten revives in a round that has a decent length should come very easily.
Support:
M1917 MG Low Weight
Perform 25 kills with the BAR M1918 Trench
Self-explanatory.
Perform 250 vehicle damage using explosives
This can be done with any type of explosive throughout all four classes. This will most likely come without really trying.
M1917 MG Telescopic
Perform 50 kills with the M1917 MG Low Weight
See above for unlock requirements. This new gun holds 250 rounds per clip and has decent range and accuracy, especially while prone.
Perform 1500 points of suppression with any LMG
Although any LMG will work, it is best to go after this requirement with the M1917 MG Low Weight listed above since you also need fifty kills with that weapon. It also holds 250 rounds per clip and so it is easy to pepper enemies and quickly earn suppression points. I was able to complete this in less than two rounds.
Scout:
Type 38 Arisaka Infantry
Perform 25 counter sniping kills
A counter sniping kill is awarded by killing a Scout (Sniper) while using the Scout class yourself. I also noticed that this is not restricted to just your primary weapon, you can earn a counter sniping kill by using sidearms as well.
As a scout, perform 3 multikills
I personally found this to be tricky while using the Scout class. Throwing a grenade that kills multiple enemies while using the Scout class seems to be the most reliable way to earn these multikills and is best done on the Supply Drop game mode since enemies are commonly grouped tightly around the Supply Drop. Another good way to go for this is to enter a naval vehicle or a Dreadnaught as a Scout. Unlike Tanks and Planes, entering these vehicles does not change your class to the Tanker or Pilot classes. Any multikill earned while in these vehciles count as a multikill for the Scout class.
Carcano M91 Carbine
Perform 25 kills with the Gewehr M.95 Carbine
Self-explanatory.
Destroy 5 explosives
This is another requirement that will hopefully come naturally as you work towards all other achievements and tasks/objectives. I unlocked this requirement without trying by destroying explosives with random grenade throws and tank cannon blasts. Explosives consist of Tripwires, Mines, Dynamite, etc. If you are a little unlucky and don’t get these randomly, keep an eye out on the ground for said explosives and destroy them with small arms fire or grenades.
Melee: (can be used by any class)
Naval Cutlass
Capture 20 flags while in a boat
This requirement can be very time consuming without boosting. You must capture flags while in a naval vehicle while playing Conquest. You can be piloting the vessel or a passenger. See below for a list of the limited number of flags that can be captured while in a boat:
- Albion, Flag C
- Empire’s Edge, Flag E
- Fao Fortress, Flag A, Flag B & Flag G
- Heligoland Bight, All Flags. This is the best map since all Flags can be captured in a boat.
- Zeebrugge, Flag C & Flag D
Note: It may also be possible to capture additional flags by pulling your boat up onto land but I did not test this out since I wanted to continue to use the boat. Pulling a boat up on land will cause it to be destroyed.
Perform 15 kills on swimming enemies
This is another time consuming requirement that requires a bit of luck and heavy use of the Server Browser feature in the Multiplayer section of the game. It appears that killing an enemy that is merely floating in the water does not count. The enemy must be killed while actively swimming. This seems to be best done as a Scout with a powerful sniper rifle while constantly surveying the water on maps that have areas where enemies may enter the water to take shortcuts. Conquest and Operations seem to be the best two game modes to try but I also made some kills on Supply Drop on Albion. One really good place to try for this is the area between Flags A & B on the Zeebrugge map. The middle of the giant bridge has been destroyed and a large number of enemies will jump into the water in order to travel between the two capture points. Refer to the list below for maps where enemies are most commonly found swimming:
- Albion
- Cape Helles
- Empire’s Edge
- Fao Fortress
- Heligoland Bight
- Zeebrugge (Specifically between Flags A & B)
Of course, killing with a selected weapon is suitable: we notice someone else’s/our own with the required barrel, kill/wait until they finish off (you can “accidentally” help with an incendiary grenade) and kill one enemy with the selected barrel.
I write the names as they are indicated in the Russian version
- Stormtrooper
Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16
50 kills with Automatico M1918 Stormtrooper

15 kills with a pistol
5 multi-kills (can be combined with boats and an anti-tank gun, since in a boat on a new operation, as a rule, several people sit, or in an assault/front line/capture of supplies, bombard key points with any explosives (preferably on maps where they are small rooms) - there are usually several snouts sitting there too). - Medic
