Spawn in as Boris (Engineer), place the Sentry Gun down in front of you, knife the Sentry Gun twice and repair. Rinse and repeat until the achievement pops.

Can confirm after latest patch (BATTLEFIELD 2042 UPDATE #4.0 April 19, 2022) this method still works. Took about 5 mins with cooldown for repair tool.

You can knife it only once now, they reduces the turret's health. The tracker doesn't work on this one, but the method works. It takes about 4-5 minutes due to the change.

definetly patched the turret. tried for 45min, no success. but Oi Royal method above works fantastic with the helicopter

I used the breakthrough method Oi Royal mentions. Incredibly more tedious than turret method as that’s now patched. Do not worry if you end up dying in the helicopter, just spawn a tank and drive into enemy fire back up and repair. Rinse and repeat and it will pop

46 minutes, reparing vehicles I was in after letting enemy hit - didn't pop. Still working? What am I doing wrong? (Oi Royal method btw)
Update: acquired during a normal game of Conquest on Spearhead by just spawning in heli's and repairing.

If it helps anyone else.
I got well over 1k repair in a match (daily objectives popping) and no achievement.
I used the portal suggested above (aaj5av) and just damaged a friendly vehicle with grenade launcher on my rifle, repaired, repeated, and that worked ok.

Confirming Proeliatoris J's method above... though I used 2 tanks to damage each other and used a mix of in vehicle repair utility and repair torch, chief popped whilst I was using repair torch. Took about 10 minutes.

Used one of the tanks to damage the other. 3 shots then jumped out to repair. Repeated again until it unlocked

I could not spawn a tank and AI would keep stealing the one that was spawned.

I used Boris and his C4 and the repair tool. I would drop C4 on the armored car, blow up and weld. Call for ammo, bots will drop ammo crate so you can replenish C4. It took me around 7 minutes.

Easiest way to do this now as I'm fairly certain the turret method doesn't work now is to load up a Solo/Co-op Conquest match, then continually get in the aircraft and bump into the terrain just enough to damage then get out and repair. I can confirm this worked and the best one I found to use was the MV-38 Condor as it doesn't go too fast so it's much less likely you'll blow it up hitting the terrain or ground too hard. Good luck!

I think they patched this method with Boris and the sentry as i couldn't get it to work.
I tried for ages to get this playing with bots and using a tank with no luck.
However i found a decent way to do it. Play breakthrough with bots on easy, spawn in the chopper (the big passenger one) and press A until you are at the side but not on a gun, one of the bots in your squad will take over as pilot. He will just fly around and your team will do all the killing and you will just sit there repairing the chopper as it gets hit. Still takes a while but you can do it in one round easy. If you get took out spawn back in the chopper or wait for the chopper to spawn again. You'll get loads of assists for it aswell i had like 200 assists by the end of the match

The recent guide does not work due to latest patch on Dec. 6, 2022

"fixed abusable behaviors where players could progress on missions by damaging & repairing their own gadget"

The best only way to do this is:
BREAKTHROUGH
Solo/co-op
Beginner
Map: Hourglass
3rd objective round roughly to unlock it, so the match won't end quickly.
Or use a buddy on the other team to shoot at you to repair faster.

Vehicle: Mv-38 Condor (self repair helps if you have it)
Specialist: doesn't matter, but used Boris
Gadget: repair tool

When you fly your Condor, get to the objective. Once you do select cn_A multiple times until you get to passenger (1 or 2)

Then grab your repair tool and repair when getting damaged or get into Driver and right D pad cn_right to self repair (25% heals) and then get back to passenger. Rinse and repeat.

Note: you at least need your team to the 3rd round of capturing the objectives to unlock it.


IF your Condor gets destroyed, can always use another vehicle, I used tank to wait out the Condor time limit respond. Get to the objective with the tank wait to get attacked and self heal/repair until Condor is ready to be used again. Might need to redeploy after.

I did it from the beginning on Manifest playing Breakthrough.

It took about 20-25 minutes.

Once you got the self-repair function with a tank this is easy and solvable during a normal game.

Select a tank at start and use the self-repair as often as possible.

Doesn't work with Boris' turret.
Log in via Portal to the aaj5av server. Friendly teammates in technology will ride there. Get into the tank and shoot at the vehicle, leaving little HP for the vehicle, after which you take the burner and go repair it. Repeat until the trophy appears. There are no enemy teammates.

For faster receipt, it is advisable to find another player. One shoots at vehicles from a tank, the second repairs them until the trophy drops. Then you can change

The fastest way. Done in 5 minutes while standing still.
1. Find a server named HappyMap in the selection of Portal servers
2. Create a server with this selection
3. Spawn in any vehicle and fire a couple of shots to spawn bots
4. Go to the fist icon and sit down
5. Spawn at the respawn (will transfer to the main place of action)
6. Repair the tank in the middle for 4 minutes

You can try to disembark the entire game only in air transport, as soon as there is free space there. The main thing is that you have the opportunity to use the burner in the passenger seat. If you come across a good pilot, all you have to do is restore the vehicle’s HP if possible. I got the achievement during a match in capture mode, but most likely it will be easier to do in the “Breakthrough” mode, since the matches there are much longer.

Only the repair of equipment in which someone is sitting is considered. Get into the tank as a gunner, and as we get hit, we jump out and fix it.

Got it with a friend and bots. We take a helicopter, a burner and a friend. A friend gets into a helicopter, takes off a little and hits the ground or a container or whatever is underfoot. and you take it and fix it. Repeat until the trophy appears.

The trophy can only appear after re-entering the game, when you start repairing someone in the next match. In the same way, my trophy for Falk was bugged, it fell out after the first treatment the next day.

You can combine it with a trophy for 2500 turret damage, stupidly put the turret, farm the damage and repair it.

Can be done with a friend and bots.
1. Drive into the field in a tank so that mobs don’t take you away
2. Take an angel to change and restore equipment. The mailbox is called via , +
3. Attack the white tank with a grenade launcher and grenades - without a driver
4. Exchange equipment for repair tools
5. A friend climbs inside, you are already repairing the green tank
6. Repeat

The quantity can be tracked by difference in the menu > collections > equipment > repair tool.
If it doesn’t roll after 1000, it means you got a bug in this version of the game. Restart the game, (become a host(?) and start repairing in a game with live players - should recalculate.
