Without dying, got a kill with a Carbine, Pistol and Rocket Launcher

How to unlock the Deadly tools achievement in Battlefield 3 - Definitive Guide

great video guide by antlovesabi. this is just to put it in words,

you will need a kill with a carbine (any assault like rifle with the engineer class, SCAR-H, M4A1 etc) a rocket launcher (smaw/rpg) and a pistol.

note: this does NOT have to be done on the CQ DLC maps, i got this on operation metro,. I also picked up an enemy kit to get a better pistol. Killing an enemy with say a pistol then a team mate revives him and you kill him again with say a carbine will still count. You can get this with any combination of weapon kills inbetween, eg kill with pistol-carbine-assault rifle-LMG-grenade-shotgun-pistol again then rocket launcher, as long as you dont respawn. And finally if you get shot and then revived it will still unlock. I was shot and revived before getting the pistol kill and had no problem

hope this helps and clears a few things up :)

EDIT 13/7/2012 for those of you wanting a videoguide here one from T.A. member Maka91, thanks for the video and sorry it took me so long to upload it

You will need to have the Close Quarters DLC.

This achievement can be unlocked on any map, however, the DLC purchase is still necessary.

First off, you will need to spawn as an Engineer. Customize your class to include a Carbine (shotguns and PP weapons obviously do not count), a pistol of your choice, and a Rocket Launcher (SMAW/RPG V2).

Now just spawn on the map of your choice. I recommend something smaller, so the close quarters maps will do well here. You can also revert back to Operation Metro if you like though. Now proceed and try to kill an enemy with your pistol or rocket launcher, depending on what you are less comfortable with.

Take your time. Place rockets into chokepoints like hallways or staircases, to get easy kills. Sneak up on enemies for pistol kills, and lastly use your main weapon to just be patient and get a kill. If you can manage to get all 3 in one life through a little bit of luck, skill and Trial & Error, you will gain the achievement.

Deadly tools achievement guide for the Close Quarters dlc on Battlefield 3. Really simple to get got this in my second game. In one life you need to get a kill with a carbine, pistol and rocket. I used the engineer class with the A-91 as the carbine, an M1911 as the pistol and a SMAW as my rocket.

This achievement is simple but can be frustrating at times. I woulld say the best map is defending the first base on seine crossing use your engineer class setup of choice but be sure to bring the rpg7 with you. Go to the second floor of the staircase building in front of the bomb and go for a rpg kill off the bat. After this stay up there and pick someone off with your carbine. After this with your pistol of choice (I prefer the magnum or wrex because of fast TTK with a headshot or 2 hitter) and go down to the bottom floor or just outside the room where you enter the building on the bomb side and wait for your oppurtunity to get the kill and that is it. You can do this in any map this is just how I got it and chances arre you will get it if you play engineer and use all your equipment but this is my way of getting it because there is alot of action on this area of the map because it is a thin chokepoint and is usually a one sided battlle in favor of the defenders

This requires:
- Carbine (engineer weapon)
-Smaw/Rpg
-Handgun of your choice

First, try to get a kill with your Rpg/Smaw. Find places with overview, where perhaps your teammates have damaged the enemy, making your kill easier. If this DLC is like Karkand and cheevos can be unlocked on all maps, you can always go for tanks/jeeps. Try conquest domination flags.

Next up, I would go for the Handgun kill. If you're a low rank or have done a good deal of co-op then try either mp443 or the 93r. If you're a High rank and have unlocked the Magnum, use that beast! 2 bodyshots or 1 headshot to kill.

And finally, the Carbine/smg, use your favoritt carbine and try not to rush to a certain death. Try to stay behind your team and net the final kill. Personally I would recommene the m4a1 or the G36C.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Go to Grand Bazzar and shoot rpgs down the alleyway til you get a kill. Then flank and kill them with a M1911 and finish with your carbine

I got this on scrap metal from the CQ DLC pretty easy actually, all you need to do is take out your smaw aim towards B and shoot on sight, you're almost guaranteed a rocket launcher kill and then stay to the corners dont camp you'll get knifed but lurk around the corners with your pistol and only shoot when your sure you'll get the kill, preferably in the back. after that take out your CARBINE, i was using the G36C which did well with single fire and try to get a kill with that. Having a Medic with you will make life a 1000 time easier, my brother was a medic following me around and he revived me right after i got a pistol kill i got up and shot the the remaining guys with my CARBINE and POP!

Easy enough achievement again. (If you can't fly jets the Back to Karkland achievement like this could have caused issues). Video below shows all.

Or we can call it "Complete Warrior 2.0"; but this one is much easier to attain. Play as the Engineer class as they use Rockets and Carbines. This one is definitely not as difficult as it's predecessor; especially on the smaller maps where the fighting is pretty thick.

The achievement is expansion specific, but it is not map specific, which is similar to Complete Warrior in the Karkand expansion. So destroying a tank, or any vehicle, with people in it with a rocket will count as a rocket kill.
