On a capture the flag game mode, all you have to do is pick up the flag carrier with the air vehicle, aka a helicopter. You must be the pilot.
I joined a game, got in a chopper, landed and when my teammate with the flag jumped in with me, the achievement unlocked straight away.
Edit: If it doesn't unlock straight away, just pull up off the ground a little bit.

As requested, the maps with scout choppers on are:
Kiasar Railroad
Operation Riverside

(need confirmation whether it needs to be a scout chopper)

Re-edit: Hanrec2, MuddyAmoeba & LockieF have all stated that this achievement is sightly glitchy, in a good way though. They have stated that you can pick up someone who has held the flag and it will still unlock. Use the above method if this 'glitch' doesn't work for you.

I just got it randomly flying while my team captured the last flag. Its buggy!

Yeah I spawned in my teams helicopter and it randomly popped...

Or maybe if you carried the flag yourself at any point in the match and then fly a chopper it will pop as well. At least something like that happened to me as I didn carry the flag while flying the Little Bird but still got the achievement. I did carry the flag earlier in the match.

I also got this achievement from a squad member who previously died carrying the flag, and then respawned in my chopper. At least its buggy in a good way I guess.

Another confirmation on the bugginess of this one - I died carrying the flag, spawned on my friend in the Havoc and it popped for him :)

The achievement is still glitchy, I wasn't even near the flag, when my teammate spawned in my chopper :-) good glitch

I believe the Key is even though the flag is dropped (as long as it does not get returned or picked up) the person who dropped it is still marked as the "flag carrier" I too got this achievement when the person carrying the flag died across the map and then spawned in my helicopter. pop!

To add a little more it does NOT pop if you pick up the flag, die and then spawn into a chopper, even if the flag is still in open play and has not been reset. I'm guessing that the carrier, current or previous, needs to be a passenger and not the pilot with you as the pilot for it to pop. Evil achievement for those of us who can't fly choppers for sh1t. My final, final BF3 one as well :-(

However, having just got the achievement, it definately does pop whenever someone who has carried the flag spawns in the chopper which you are piloting. :-)

Hello, i played CTF an killed the enemy that has taken our flag an than the achievement popped.... I don't know why.....

just aswell for the glitch as other than doing it with xbl party members this is difficult. land near teammates with flag...they get back on bike and drive away hehe

If you're having problems with the achievement like me, get into a game with about 4 or 5 people. Got it within a few minutes of joining a 5 player game. Just a good way to get this without needing to boost it.

I think your solution would be better if it explained what maps actually had a helicopter and what ones did not. I'll def give you a POS if you include that.

Pos voted. ALSO - The "glitch" worked for me last night, but the flag carrier has to have carried the flag for a little while for it to work. It isn't enough for them to just grab the flag and then get smoked 2s after then spawn in your chopper (in my experience). I'd estimate 15-20s with the flag in possession is best.

I can confirm that it does happen if the person in the helicopter spawns into it and has previously scored. Also this happened in the attack helo.

I was flying the helicopter when my team mate spawned in with me, the achievement popped straight away, I can confirm that he had previously captured the flag before re-spawning in with me. Lucy I guess as I can't fly the helicopters well! You may want to update your guide.

I concur with Hanrec2. I started a match, spawned straight into chopper started flying, a few seconds later a team mate spawned on me and Bam achievement popped.
I guess the wording of the achievement says transport a flag carrier. So.... If your team mate was carrying the flag previously, does that make him a flag carrier?

This trophy is a little glitchy in a good way. To get this you either need to be piloting an air vehicle while a passenger is holding the flag or with a passenger that has recently held the flag. The effect sort of lingers after for awhile; not a set time but enough where if you keep picking up people while you are piloting you should eventually get it so long as the rest of your time is making an honest effort to get the enemy flag.

To unlock this achievement all you have to do is be in the pilot seat of a chopper; and the flag carrier has to get into your chopper. This still may give some a little bit of trouble if they can't land, but at least you don't have to fly there and back again while avoiding incoming fire to deliver a flag.
