How to unlock the Call me "Sir" achievement in Battlefield 4 - Definitive Guide
All XP earnt in the online side of BF4 counts towards this total, in any game mode.
The total XP required to hit Rank 25 on the dot is 795,996. This is quite a lot, and took me 27hours and 4 minutes legit without double XP.
By utitlising double XP (and Premium double XP) events can speed this up drastically. Also, when opening battlepacks, don't forget to equip your XP boosts there. These boosts can range from 50% to 200%, so are a mighty nice addition to speed this run up.
For game mode, I suggest playing Conquest. You can earn mega XP in this mode (my record so far is 47,000 inc ribbons etc). Capping bases earns a lot of XP, as do any kills inside the conquest zones.
For class, its personal preference what you feel comfortable with. I would think most players agree that the Assault class earns XP the fastest due to its heals and revives (Charge the defib for 100 pt revives instead of 20).
NOTE - If you already have this achievement on the 360 version, it will pop in the first round on the X1. However, the X1 version doesn't backtrack to pop in the 360 version
but when i went back too actually playing the main game, the achievement didn't unlock :(
any ideas?
Like the solution said's above playing conquest is the best way to Rank up but you don't want to jump into any old map.
The map I recommend for this is Conquest on 'Operation Locker'
You can get this map on a 'Server Browser' when in Multiplayer select server browser and you should be able to tick the map and untick the rest, once that's done on screen should be a bunch of servers for the OP LOCK , most of them should say something like (Operation Locker 24/7) Meaning without a doubt you'll get the same map over and over again.
UPDATE- From what I can tell they changed the layout of the main menu and the server browser in the new update because of Battlefield 1. In my opinion they ruined the server browser menu.
If you don't know how to do that here is a clip for example
This is a game that I had on the map and got a lot of score at the end.
Operation Locker is a bloodbath! 2 teams of 32 capture the first 2 flags and meet up at C for a all out fight, basically World War 3.
The class I would recommend always is Assault with Medbox and a defibrillator, you won't have these at first but It should only take you a few games to unlock. How you would select them for example would be medbox and would be defib This class with the proper equipment is one of the fastest way to rank up!
When both teams meet at the tunnel at C , depending on what team gets C first, your going to have team mates dropping left right and centre, just get your difib out and hold the pads down and revive them, then chuck a medbox down and your points shall stake up depending on how many injured team mates are around you.
I always like to put the Medbox right on either side of the tunnel because most people are going to be camping there until one team decides to push up.
Each class has a field upgrade that you can select on your loadout.
For Assault the best one for the difib and Medbox is 'Combat Medic'
How you make these work in game is to get squad points, for example healing or reviving a squad mate will make these rank up. Being squad leader is the best way for this.
You'll know your squad leader if it has a star next to your gamertag and below your GT will be your squad mates. You can earn yourself extra xp if you look over a flag and press RB and it will tell your squadmates that you want them to capture the objective, if you capture it with them it should give you 400 points for capture! Even if your not there and one of your squad mates captures the flag you'll still earn points for squad order followed.
Works as well with defending an objective also.
When the field upgrade increases you basically get perks for your class, with 'combat medic' you will get upgrades such as:
Level 1- Will let you deploy a second medbox
Level 2- Increases sprint speed by 10%
Level 3- Increases charge up speed for the Defibrillator
Level 4- Occupied vehicles will slowly heal nearby soldiers
Gun preference is up to you, possible the one that suits your play style :)
If you spend most the round capturing flags but at the same time provide assistance to your team mates and squad members you will most defiantly earn a lot of XP , and at the same time you rank up you'll earn battlepacks, make sure you open these and always put a xp boost on.
You can check if you have one on by pausing while in the game and looking to your bottom right where if you do have a xp boost on it will have a timer on it. All xp boosts last One hour in game time.
Also Reviving and Healing will earn you Ribbons which stack on to your xp at the end of the match.
If you earn 50 of the same ribbon, you will be awarded a Medal
Medals can be anything from 1000-10,000xp! On top of that if you have a xp boost on it can double, even triple your Medal xp!
When you play Conquest long enough you will earn a conquest medal for gaining a certain amount of xp playing the specific game mode. These with no xp boost on will give you 10,000xp!
Note that you can earn the same medal more then once!
You can also earn Service stars by obtaining 100 kills with a specific weapon which are worth 1000xp and will usually grant you a gold battlepack as well!
These can also be earned more then once.
This game clip I made is a great example of how being a squad leader and working with your squad will earn you a great amount of xp.
I have highlighted the flag for my squad mates to capture and also a couple of my squad mates got some kills while in the capture area which earned me more points then after the flag was captured I earned over 1000 points! My squadmates would of earned the near enough the same amount. And after that was captured I marked the next flag and even got a revive on the way.
Here is another clip of a flag that is contested, I marked the flag for my squad and while I was there I was healing people, reviving people and killing enemy's. If you keep the points chain going you can end up with a massive amount of points. Just make sure when your running around you always put a medbox down for team mates and yourself and always revive them because if you die, your team mate that you saved is more then likely going to save you. It all works out at the end.
I hope this has helped in a way for some of you, the clip should hopefully explain a lot of what I was talking about.
Im always playing Battlefield, so if you have any questions about other maps or want some help just PM me and we shall squad up and play!
Happy Hunting!
When in game: press options to activate an xp pack. They only count when in game, so you can go offline and come back later to play. The fastest way in my opinion was to play conquest large the whole time. Don't focus on kills but make sure to conquer as many flags as possible. Use the same class and guns the whole time so you get some service stars to get some xp even faster.
Rank 25 requires roughly 800,000 total points. This can take anywhere from 15-50hrs depending on your playstyle and game modes you play. A few basic tips to new BF players;
- Customize and perfect your favoured class/loadout
- Play each game mode on how it’s intended to be played – play the objective
- Support your team e.g. drop ammo, health packs, revive, transport, spot enemies etc.
- Be a good Commander - When you’re finally picked, make the most out of it.
- Play in a Squad – so you have more spawn points available & earn squad bonus points.
To reach rank 25, you will need about 796,000 XP and this should take you at least 25 hours to achieve. You should not have to worry about doing anything out of the ordinary to unlock this trophy. Just play your favourite multiplayer modes and have fun experiencing what the game has to offer. If you are planning to reach rank 25 as quickly as possible, you can play Domination, which offers the most potential for XP per minute, or Score Per Minute (SPM).
As you level up you will earn Battlepacks, which can be opened for an opportunity to receive XP boosts. These will increase the XP for everything you do by 25%, 50%, 100% or 200%. Activate the boosts while in game by pressing / to view the menu, then press to select your desired boost. XP boosts last for one hour of actual play time, and only one boost can be activated at a time.
Below you will find general tips you can use to improve the rate at which you earn XP. These tips apply to all modes.
Play Modes with High SPM Potential
- Skilled or even average players can accrue very large amounts of XP in very short periods of time if playing modes like Domination and Rush.
- Kill other players, help your squad and complete objectives to earn big points. See Won them all for more information about completing objectives in all modes.
Kill Enemies
- The base XP gained for killing an enemy player is 100.
- The manner in which you kill enemies (headshot, melee, etc.) will determine how many bonus points you receive. The scoring system is on par with that of the campaign, defined in Above and beyond the call.
- Select the Assault class (selected by default) for easier kills and immediate access to a med kit (press to use) for healing yourself and your team.
- You will be credited with assists - worth fewer points than kills - for damaging enemy players who are then killed by your team.
Help your Squad
- You will be placed in a small squad of teammates when joining a game. Squad mates are marked as green on your radar.
- Bonus points can be earned for everything you do to assist your squad.
- You can spawn on them to get closer to the action and be in a better position to help.
- Things you can do for your squad include healing, reviving, throwing ammo, repairing damaged vehicles, spotting other players, assisting on kills, coming to their rescue in deadly situations etc. You will earn more XP for helping your squad than for helping regular teammates.
Spot Enemies
- Spotting enemies adds an orange arrow above their heads and reveals their location to your team.
- Aim your crosshairs at enemy players and press /. Try not to hold /, as that will display a voice command pop-up window that may get in your way and get you killed.
- You will see that you earned a spot bonus if your team kills the spotted enemy.
Squad Orders
- Similar to spotting players, you can give a Squad Order by directing your squad to an objective. If a member of your squad successfully attacks or defends the objective, you will be rewarded with XP.
- Aim your crosshairs directly at the letter (A, B, C) of an objective - you may need to hold / for more accurate aiming - and press / to order your squad.
- You will also earn points if you attack or defend objectives pointed out by your squad.
The fastest way to gain points is in the " Assault " and " Supremacy " modes. Choose the class that best suits your playstyle: I like “Engineer”, but almost everyone advises using “Assault Trooper” (Medic) to gain experience as quickly as possible. You are always part of a squad, because actions with squad members give you additional points/bonuses.
Also a very important point : in the game, when you reach new levels and for completing certain tasks/tasks, you will earn BATTLE PACKS , which you need to open and which, among other things, may contain amplifiers that increase XP. They increase the experience/XP gained for everything you do by 25%, 50%, 100% or 200%. These boosters are activated when you are in the game by pressing to view the menu, then press to select the desired amplifier. Experience/XP increases by one hour while in the game, that is, by turning on this option and leaving the game, your bonus will not disappear anywhere and when you return to the game you will have exactly the same amount of time as you had before leaving it. Only one amplifier can be activated at a time.
