How to unlock the Cold Blooded achievement in Battlefield 4 - Definitive Guide

For this Achievement you will need to load up the map Operation Whiteout in Conquest mode.
First, you need to aquire the knife.
You can do so by making your way to flag C on the map east from the flag is a container with a small set of stairs going up to it, underneath the stairs you will notice some frozen icicles. If you walk up to these you can grab them by holding cn_Y. If the icicles are not their, they do respawn after about a minute or so so be patient and wait.

Now that you have the icicle, you need to kill somebody with it. Best thing to do is to set inside the rooms and wait for somebody to come in or peak out the windows looking for your prey, then quickly pounce on them before they know what happened.

IF YOU DIE, YOU LOSE THE KNIFE
You will need to collect it again.

for anyone struggling to get this and dont mind being a troll, go into a 'phantom dogtag hunt' server.... it seems no one is killing eachother in those servers... just get your icicle and go kill one of the poor defenseless players. you will probably get kicked out of server but who cares? haha

Looking for two mates for solve this cooperately, I have double xbox n able to load two players into game together, the minimum amount to start a new server are 4. So we could do it by one time.
Just bored for the grind.

You find the icicle in Conquest Large Mode on the Map Operation Whiteout (Flag C) and Hammerhead (Flag F). The icicle replaces your currently equipped knife until you die. Grab the icicle with cn_Y and find an Enemy. You can switch your Weapons if you wanted, you do not hold the icicle the whole time in your Hands :)

The Icicle can be found on the map "Operation Whiteout" at capture point C. It will replace your knife until you die. You can switch to your guns and still use it when you melee.

Here is my attempt in getting the achievement. Took me about 20 to 25 mins.

There is an area where i just run around in the video, this is the best spot i found where you can hunt enemies for the icicle kill.

I'm sure there are other maps, but the easy one for me was Hammerhead, go to the F Flag on Conquest Large. There are icicles hanging from the little boats that are trapped in the ice. Simply walk up to them, aim, and hold Triangle to replace your knife with the icicle. Now, go shank someone!

NOTE - The icicle replaces your knife for one round, not permanently.

On the map Operation Whiteout you can pick up one of the icicles from a building at C flag CQ large, B flag CQ small. When picked up this icicle becomes a replacement for your knife and you can use it to knife people in the same way you would any other knife. Get a kill with this icicle knife to get the trophy.

Note you do not need to run around with the icicle equipped. You can switch back to your gun and play normally as the icicle replaces your knife. However, if you die you loose the icicle and will need to pick it up again.

A video showing how to get this trophy is below. Even though there are icicles hanging from many of the buildings on this map, it is only this specific one that you can pick up.

The icicle knife is found on two maps. On the Operation Whiteout map at flag B of Conquest (Standard Conquest) and flag C (Conquest Large.) There is a container at the base and underneath is a box where you will see some icicles, press  on the icicles to pick up the knife. On the Hammerhead map at flag F, there are three boats on the frozen lake, the boat nearest to land has the icicles stuck to the side of it.

Once picked up the icicle replaces your currently equipped knife, although you're able to switch back to your primary and secondary weapons as you please. You lose the knife once you die, the icicle will respawn in their locations within 90 seconds. 

Once you have acquired the knife, start to play in a more stealthy manner and attempt for a melee kill, best done when a lone enemy is capturing one of your bases so you're able to get the jump on them. Below is video showing the locations of the icicles on both maps. Credit goes to Predni:

We play a capture on the map "Operation Whiteout", capture point C. We find an icicle and kill the enemy with it in hand-to-hand combat (as with an ordinary knife) - we get an achievement!
