How to unlock the Signals achievement in Battlestar Galactica Deadlock - Definitive Guide
At this point in the campaign (without expansions) you have the option to build both Manticore corvettes and Adamant frigates. At this point, unless you really really need to fill the extra 500 points in a fleet, forget about constructing Manticores at this point. While they have a very high detection range for enemy ships and the like, they don’t offer much flexibility in later fleet battles and can be easily destroyed against stronger Cylon warships, especially the Revenant.
Equip Daidalos with an officer and make sure said officer’s fleet supply is upgraded so you can add additional ships to Daidalos’ defense fleet. Easy way to boost this is to park your fleet above a colony and begin pumping out Adamants to fortify your colonies. Start with one quadrant before beginning to branch out. Any enemy fleet that attacks your combined fleets ensure that Daidalos is the defending fleet. That way you can quickly farm XP for your officer.
Once your officer has reached the first fleet upgrade, make sure that your whole fleet is made up of Adamants (Fleet Supply is 750 each) and send them to the next mission. If you have the ability to manufacture Viper MK II’s, do it ASAP. Nothing that the Cylons can field can face them.
In the battle you’ll face Nemesis corvettes and Talon light carriers. If you have no expansions installed, you can essentially just send in your Vipers and occasionally fire off guided missiles. If the Cylons have the Cerastes defense ship however, your fight will be MUCH harder.
The battle ends once all Cylon units are destroyed.
