How to unlock the Straight-A Student achievement in Battletoads - Definitive Guide

You can work on this achievement at the very begining of the game but the best mission to farm it is Act II - Mission 2 (Stumped), keep hitting the enemies without taking any damage, also the best character for doing this is "Zitz". Press the "Y" button to uppercut and then keep pressing "X" button to hit the enemy. If you follow this instruction there will be a high chance to get it normally during your story progression. Note that after finishing Act II, there is no other fight to get rank.

Do S ranks not count for this? I keep getting S ranks rather than A

im not sure if mine has bugged since i have been stuck on 50% for more than half the game and i have been getting S and A ranks.

Try to replay a mission from Act I ot II (like Act II - Mission 2 (Stumped)) and check the achievement progression.

nope just tried to do the first fight again which is an easy A rank, got S on it and still stayed on 50%

I've tried it several times and it doesn't accept S. It needs to be exactly A

Just got it on Tadpole using the above Y and X method, and got mostly S Ranks. S Ranks absolutely 100% count.

The easiest way to get S rank is to play on easy difficulty and constantly switch between toads. In this way, I completed all the battles on S on the first try.
