Beach Buggy Racing

At the end of each stage there is a final race that you need a certain number of stars to unlock. This is a one-on-one race against another driver and if you beat them, you will unlock the next level and gain them as a driver you can race as instead of the starting character of Rez. Each character has a different ability that comes in useful for certain races or levels later in the game. During these races their abilities seem to be regenerative rather than once per race as yours is, therefore expect some difficulty at unlocking the earlier characters whilst your car isn't upgraded but once you have the upgrades sorted beating these characters becomes much easier.
