A flawless battle requires you to not take any damage during combat.
i found the best method was to use all of your Action Points (AP) to purchase the Attack Upgrade Skills. Once you have maxed out this skill tree, enemies will be no trouble.
To quicken up the process, fast travel back to the first camp and follow the main path. You should be able to kill the enemies in a single strike.
Also using the Flame Sword attack as soon as the battle begins is a great way to quickly kill off tougher enemies.
Purchasing the Critical Chance upgrade will also greatly help.

A Flawless bonus is awarded for any battle you complete without taking damage. You can simply kill the enemies before they have a chance to attack, or successfully dodge/block all attacks, so long as no damage is taken. This will probably be the first of the combat-related achievements you unlock.
