How to unlock the Katamari Lover achievement in Beautiful Katamari - Definitive Guide

The fastest way to this achievement is to use the Instituto Exactamundo DLC level. Just fire up IE on the top option on where to roll (I believe it's candy store) then roll up a couple of items. You should only need to roll for maybe 15-20 seconds. Then after you pick up a few items, press X to submit your size for review. It counts as a request and takes you far less than the 3 minutes for the egg school. With loading you should be averaging 2-3 requests a minute. It is the way I finished my 100/200 requests.

Absolutely positive. It is how I did my 200.

"With loading you should be averaging 3 requests a minute."

No. I timed it, a quick run from Princedom back to Princedom takes about 1:20. It also takes far more than a "couple" items, you need to be big enough to pick up the pink batteries (so 20-40 objects) or the King will tell you it's not big enough and waste your time.

If you need to do this more than a few times, I suggest learning the path to the pink batteries by the roll of coins in the door seam from all the starting points, as this is the quickest route in most scenarios.

Do you have to return to the Princedom for it to count or can you just finish and keep trying again?

when you submit your katamari, it ends the level, sending you back to the princedom.

if you install the game your load times will be cut down so you can make this less painful.

the assumption at the beginning is so wrong -.-
why should everybody going for the achievement have bought the dl-keys?

Bananenbrot - there is another method posted using the Egg School level. If you don't have the DLC, don't use this method. He's just giving the fastest method he's found, whether you choose to use it or not is always up to you.

Can I submit things as Star Dust, or does it have to be a Constellation? Or can I submit either one?
I'm asking in terms of the Exact DLC

Once you hit the max number of items orbiting the Planet/Star, it will go as Star Dust. Star Dust is something you want to have a good number of, as it helps you hit the 1.5mil Katamari when you have to roll up the Universe.

But to answer the question, yeah you can submit Star Dust, it still counts as your request.

Mine unlocked at 268 personal Katamaris rolled that was after 100%'in the game, I was starting to have doubts if it would unlock but it did using this method, and selecting stardust don't matter. Just remember to save at the little white and red house, as I lost a nights progress after coming back to this game after so long to finish it off.

I know this is a really old post now but if anyone is going back to get this one, don't forget to use "Start" when navigating through the menus. It's a huge time saver. It skips most of the talking as opposed to rapidly pressing A. Hope this helps!

If you dont have the DLC, completing Egg school (tutorial level) takes about 2 mins to complete, including loading times.
I do about 4 or 5 each day because it gets boring fast...

It is so worth spending the $1.13 CAD (or regional equivalent) for this DLC. I'm using a disc that's not installed on my 360 and Egg School took over 3 minutes with loading times. This DLC takes about a minute and 15 seconds.

Can anyone tell me the name of the DLC pack that contains this level? I see seven individual packs for $1.00 each but none of them refer to the title Instituto Exactamundo.

You can use the exact katamari levels to boost this achievement too.

Press X after rolling for only a few seconds and you can end the level to gain a request. You need to complete about 25% of the target size before you can end the round.

You will get most of these while working on getting the presents, cousins and 100% Collection achievements, but once you're done with that if you still have not done 200 requests, just simply play Egg School (Tutorial level) over and over until you get it. You can do any request, but this is the shortest one.

Note: When you check the "Everyone's Katamari" section in space, this total refers to Eternal Modes and Time Attacks as well as your Normal Modes, so you will most likely need to get that number higher than 100/200, but it should give you an idea of how far you are.

All credit goes to The Pants Party for his guide on Xbox360Achievements.

If you want to do this faster, using the DLC level Instituto Exactamundo, just roll in the candy store for like 10 seconds, then submit your ball to check its size.
