How to unlock the Holiday Resort achievement in Before We Leave - Definitive Guide
This took a lot of trial and error but managed to make it pop. The achievement should have been worded "100+ Happy Peeps on an Island that has never had Fields, Extractor, Industry or Quality of Life buildings". If you'd placed any of those down on that island previously it doesn't seem to work.
Best off leaving this till later in the game, I already had 4 islands setup which made it easier. Don't build Food Farms, any Mine/Extractor, Industry buildings or anything under the Quality of Life tab. Anything from the other building tabs are OK (See Screenshot). Wells are allowed!
1. Colonize a new island.
2. Ship food from other islands here.
3. Build Warehouses to store some food. Throw down a few Wells too.
4. Build Huts/Houses for 101+ Peeps. Any Wood, Tools etc. can be traded from other islands. Clothing and Luxury goods can be shipped over too.
5. Rather than building a School to reach 100+, I created two Ships of 50 Peeps and dropped them onto the Island.
6. The happiness of the Peeps carry's over from the old islands. However I did build a "Meeting Square" to boost them all to Max Happiness as they pilled off the Ships.
Once you have 101+ and all happy it should pop!

Finally got around to doing this method and it worked perfectly.
For me, the achievement took a while to pop. I think the 3 original settlers who went with the colony ship and off-boarded first were on land for too long without housing. I followed the guide as stated, loading up two trade ships with about 100 people between them, and dropped them off on Island 3, Planet 2, having built there only houses, two warehouses, an explorer's hut and library, and a market square. When the achievement didn't pop, I built a music shop.
The achievement didn't pop for a good ten or so minutes. I ended up going back to my main island and built a second dock. Around that dock I built more food producers, automated them, build a warehouse only for those foods, and then set up a second shipping line between Island 1, Port 2 and Island 3, Port 1. If you have all the peeps on your resort island and it's not popping, try flooding the island with as much food as it can take.
It popped when I was futzing around with tailors on my main island (thinking, since my resort island was cold and folks were getting weather exhaustion, they needed clothing). So I can confirm that folks don't need clothing at all in order to be Very Happy in this game!

Is this game difficult/time consuming? I know it just came out recently but seems like people are having a hard time popping achievements in it.
