How to unlock the District 9 achievement in Beholder Complete Edition - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you have to:
Rent an apartment to Christopher and Gertrude Danson;
Watch Christopher until you discover that he beats his wife;
Talk to Christopher about him beating his wife and ask him what's up (-500 reputation);
Search the apartment until you find a letter saying "Christopher's father turned 88";
Ask Christopher about his father (-500 reputation);
Make Christopher help you by threatening him;
Discuss the agreement with Christopher;
Go to the Euthanasia Center (let the timer run out or call them and tell them you are ready).
DLC: After witnessing Christopher Danson (policeman) beating his wife, talk to him and discuss beating his wife. Ask what's up (costing 500 reputation) and he will admit he's afraid of his boss as well as let slip that his father is 90 and still alive. Search the Danson's apartment and find and record a letter from Christopher’s father. Talk to Christopher again, ask about father and continue conversation (costing 500 reputation). Make him help (2nd choice), which causes Hector to threaten him. Talk to Christopher once more and discuss agreement (to confirm). Call the Euthanasia Center, answer yes and the game will end with Hector living in the slums, earning you the trophy.
- We complete the first task (about collecting DNA).
- We are renovating a new room and moving in the Danson family.
- We watch through the keyhole (ignoring everything around) until the husband begins to beat his wife.
- We talk about the beating with my husband.
- As soon as the apartment is empty, we go in and go to the phone, examine it and find a letter from my father.
- We talk with Christopher about his father, spend 500 reputation points to continue.
- At the next choice, select "MAKE HIM HELP US".
- We talk to the policeman again, he confirms that he will help you.
- We call the Euthanasia center, or wait for the “I don’t want to die” timer to end.
