How to unlock the Untouchable achievement in Beijing 2008 - Definitive Guide

Follow the the directions on screen i.e LEFT/RIGHT etc. then tap the left stick in that direction until you get a "CHANCE" then double tap the 'Y' button, this gets your opponent in a choke hold now tap 'LT' and 'RT' alternatly as fast as you can until your opponent submits. This will score you 'Ipom' and is an instant win.

Do this to each opponent in the competion and you win Gold and the achievement.

Yeah you should be able to get this in competion mode. When you won gold did you lose any points? That's the only thing I can think of because the description says "WITHOUT receiving points or penaltys against you". In judo there are 4 ways to score (only 3 since 2009) ippon, waza-air, yuko and koka.
Ippon is worth 1 point and also an instant win.
Waza-air is worth 1/2 a point and so you would need 2 of these to get "ippon" and the win.
Yuko and Koka are not worth any points and are not cumulative they are used as a tie-breaker, so if at the end of the match both players have scored "waza-air" then it goes down to who has the most yuko's and then to kokas. So if player 1 gets a waza-air and player 2 gets 10 yuko's player 1 would still win.

So if on your way to getting the Gold medal you conceded any waza-air, yuko or koka you won't get the achievement! Follow my original guide and get ippon everytime to make sure your opponent doesn't get any points against you. Koka can be given for very short holds so don't let your opponent grab you at all otherwise you won't get the ach.

Hope this helps (and makes sense).

Quickest and easiest way to do this by far.

1. Sign in a second controller.
2. From main menu go Competition -> System Link -> Create Match.
3. Set game type to 'Vs.' and max players to 2.
4. Click Create Match.
5. With your main controller pick GBR, second controller can be any nation.
6. Press A on both controllers to ready up.
7. Go to Choose Events, pick Judo then start the game.
8. When the arrow appears in the top of the screen move either thumbstick in that direction.
9. When 'Chance' appears on the screen quickly double tap Y.
10. Alternately press LT and RT.
11. At the results screen press A once.
12. Watch the animation, your chievo will pop and then please stand for God Save the Queen. :-)
