To play the Twilight mode you need to unlock the Classic mode achievement.In Twilight mode gems fall*, after you make a match, once from the top and once from the bottom*. You can also run out of moves, so try to save a few power gems and hyper cubes for later levels. (You don't need to FINISH level 10 to unlock this achievement, just get to it.)

I can vouch for the fact that the achievement will pop when you REACH Level 10. You do not have to complete it.

Agreed. Popped as soon as 9 was completed for me.

To be awarded this achievement, you need to FINISH level 9. It will unlock at the beggining of level 10.
Play this as you would Classic mode - always work from the top!
Definition of the TOP: the side which the new blocks fall from
The blocks will alternate falling from both sides of your screen. Therefore, play closest move you can from that side.
Keep your cubes as long as possible. Keep in mind because of the alternating sides of new blocks, a lot more accidents occur, many of them will be helpful.
Just stay out of the middle unless you are working on a plan.

You get Twilight upon completing 17 levels of classic mode. This achievement is a little easier to get than the Classic Mode one, so if you were good at classic mode, you will no doubt be able to get this.
