How to unlock the Skull Crusher achievement in Bejeweled 3 - Definitive Guide
During the poker game mode you will eventually get a skull icon appear over one of the possible hands in the top left corner.
When this happens you need to fill the bar in the top left corner by creating hands. Obviously the better the hand, the quicker that bar will fill. Once it is full, the skull will be destroyed and the achievement should unlock.
When trying to do this, make sure not to get the hand the skull is over, although to be honest, this one is really easy anyway...

Just to add, the poker game mode is unlocked by reaching level 5 in classic mode

This can be a little confusing as it doesn’t explain too well in-game, but luckily it’s not timed!
Here are the possible hands you can make:
A “pair” is getting 2 cards that are the same. So two blues and the other 3 can be random.
Spectrum - all cards are random
2 pair - 2 same colors, 2 same colors, 1 random
3 of a kind - 3 same colors, 2 random
Full house - 3 same, 2 same
4 of a kind - 4 same colors, 1 random
Flush - (I’m assuming all are the same colors....I haven’t tried it yet nor have I played poker lol)
Now the objective is to avoid the skull hand (it starts from the “pair” and works its way up), but you also want to do a better hand (so “spectrum” would beat a “pair”, “2 pair” would beat a “spectrum” and/or a “pair”, etc.
I aimed for “Full House” and “4 of a kind” and tried to avoid doing any moves lower than “3 of a kind”. It helps deciding what colors you want to do and then seeing if you can do 2 sets of them (ex: there’s a blue set on the left and a possible blue set on the right). Another useful tip is to do your moves from top to bottom so that your shift isn’t so dramatic and unpredictable.
Be patient! It may take a handful of times and sometimes you just get unlucky RNG. Try to plan your moves! Hope this helps anyone revisiting this one!
