If you look at the top of the twist leader board you will see a bit of a glitch fest going on.

Make 2 lightning gems, place them one on top of the other. put two gems of the same colour horizontally one row up and a column over. it should look like this

L= Lightning gem
G= coloured gem of same colour
x= any gem that wont ruin your combo

xxxGG
xxLxx
xxLxx

The trick is to turn the gem in the top row to complete the combo. As soon as you drop the last gem in, push the cursor to the bottom right corner and hammer the A button as quick as you can.

Watch the videos on the leader boards if your having trouble working out how to make the combo, or the easiest way to make the gems you need.

It is also possible to do this with 3 Lightning gems.

All credit to who ever worked out how to do this, it wasn't me, I just figured it out from the leader board videos.

Don't forget this is the best way to grind XP for level 50.

I have managed 1.4 million so far with this method in one game, up to 5.5 million possible judging by the leaderboards. If you have a better inter[pretation of how to boost the points please post in the comments.

Make this....... g is gems of the same colour. x areany other gem that won't ruin the combo.
Turn the gem on the top line and the one below it anti-clockwise.
It will make 2 lightning gems.

Now make this

x G x x x
x x x G G
x x L x x
x x L x x

When you rotate the top gem it will combo off the other 2 gems and also trigger the lightening gems.
You need to move the cursor to the bottom corner whilst rapidly hitting the a button.
If you catch the sweet spot you'll hit a massive chain.
If that doesn't help all I can suggest is watching the leaderboards in the game.

The trick is to make this combo

Then turn the top gem and the one under it to make 5 in a row on the second line and also an inverted 'L'

This will give you 2 lightning gems, takes a bit of practice to get the gems set up but with a bit of persistance you will be able to make this little combo in under 10 seconds.

Best advice though is to watch the leaderboard replays, 1st place is hacked so don't bother with that one but any of the rest in the top 10 will show you how to do it.

Just a little extra tip, this seems to work best done around the bottom centre area, it also seems that as you complete the combo you need to continually hammer the A button (I also smash the trigger buttons) while you move the cursor to the bottom corner. There seems to be a small sweet spot that you need to catch as you move the cursor and press the buttons so if your having trouble getting it to work percevere, it took me a few tries and I still can't do it every time. Still I managed over 2 million every 4 - 5 games with the rest of those 4 - 5 games giving anywhere between 50,000 and 1 million. I would think as an average I netted around 1 million a game which makes the level 50 grind about 2 hours from start to finish.

I just did it with your method and nail 600 K, the thing is that the combo wont work if you dont put this line "xxLxx" at te bottom of the screen

Half a mil in a single round?!? AND it's only a lousy 5 GS. You cannot waste a millisecond. Speed, speed, speed. Create cascades and snag those multipliers quick! If you have any flame gems, lightning gems, or hypercubes on the board, use them as soon as you can. This should create more cascades and multipliers. You'll need some luck, too. Pray that the gems will fall in your favor and you get a good last hurrah. DO NOT SAVE THE SPECIAL GEMS FOR THE LAST HURRAH. This is a failing strategy. You'll most likley have some left over anyway. Best to use them during the round. Also, if you play closer to the bottom of the board, this gives you a better probability of cascades. I was fortunate to get this. Got to x8 multiplier and had a sick LH on top of playing a great round and it was still kinda close. Tough 5 points to get, but you got my props for getting it.

First of all I would suggest Twist, because you have more control. One thing I would mention though is that you are MUCH more likely for multipliers to fall, and you gotta get those multipliers quickly if you hope to get enough points for this. Every move should be made to set up, or clear flame/lightning gems.

Playing the game alot you'll realize alot of possible ways to make lightning gems, the easiest of which (in my opinion) would be to make an L. If you make a T though you can make 2 lightning gems at the same time.

Finally got this last night after many many MANY hours of trying. It was my final achievement to get and I honestly started to think I would never get it. I got to level 50 long before I got this. Definitely involves mostly luck with a bit of skill thrown in. Half my score came from the LH which just kept going and going and going. I'm nowhere near as quick as some of those videos I've seen, but you do need to keep moving gems for most of the game, as well as trying to spot opportunities to make lightning gems. However, like I said, most of my score came from the LH which just happened to fall perfectly for me on that particular game :)

Besides being fast at spotting moves, making special gems such as "lightning gems" and just making moves fast one after another, this achievement and the game in general is simply based on luck!

Once I mastered all the combos that make lightning gems I was scoring 300k every time. After that it's just waiting on a good/lucky LH to break 500. By the time I was level 50 I think my best was 705k.

Bloody hell. I've been working on this for ages and it popped last night on Twist (I was at level 28).

I think leaving some gems at the end is a good idea. The last hurrah is when your multiplier is at its highest and it extends your scoring beyond the one minute mark. I was at 350k before the hurrah but ended over 600k. Multiplier was at 6x.

Unfortunately, this is not all about skill. I would recommend playing twist as you have more control over the board. I started out by getting cascades and as many of the flame and lightening gems as I could and releasing them to get multipliers, then setting them off quick! Whatever you do, DO NOT STOP moving pieces. I was able to build my multiplier to a x8 which is what did it. At the last hurrah my score was at 365,000 and I had built a few more cascades in the last couple seconds.
It dropped more lightening gems and due to the high multiplier my score at the end of the game was 631,110. But that I believe is where the luck comes in. Good luck!
