The Achievement "Jewelforger" is unlocked when you reack rank 81. Will be updated when the amount of experience needed is known. Expect this to be long as only rank 5 needs 1,5 million points to get to rank 6.
At the moment, I'm trying to boost this in Diamond Mine Mode, there you not get points for matching gems, you get points by destroying the field and uncovering gold pieces/treasures. The games I play are around 700k points per game and about 12 minutes long. Will try the other two modes, but I think this will be fastest to get points.
In Butterfly mode, if you do a great game, you can do up to 100k per minute, but it relays a lot on luck and combos with butterflies.
Apparently, each game mode has its own points needed to rank up, being the butterflies mode the one with the highest requirements, followed by Diamond mine and then Classic mode. Gonna do a list with the ranks I'm getting in Diamond Mine so we can guess how many points will be needed to get to rank 81
Rank 5: 1,500k
Rank 6: 1,750k
Rank 7: 2,000k
Rank 8: 2,250k
Rank 9: 2,500k
So far it's 250k more for each rank.

Makes no difference to the score needed but it is diamond mine i'm playing.
Should be done in about an hour
after 70 it's a 1000k per level increase
Gotta love popcap insisting there's at-least one bullshit achievement in their games.
(There may be a very naughty way to turbo the games to about a million that i'm exploiting though)
As an added bonus i'll even throw in the game's source code for free.
⬆ was not able to complete this in a week. More like a steady month of grinding for 4-6 hours aday. I will finally be finishing this today or tomorrow after playing it on and off for 2 years I buckled down and put the work in. Those hours are no joke prob closer to 300 then 200 on this one. I only grinded diamond mine btw.

Hi,
I found Diamond Mine the easiest for this achievement, the points needed for each level go up slightly each level and peek at about 21 Million for level 80-81.
It seems to get easier to score points on this game type the deeper you go and you are always guaranteed a move whereas butterfly gets harder to keep them all down the longer you play and classic just shuts you out with no more moves after a while.
I ended scoring about 3 Million each game at the end so it soon flies by.

Im gonna stick with Classic Mode, as the levels get higher and you earn more points, makes it a bit quicker to level up. Just had a good game scoring 1.1 Million, went from early level 11 straight into level 12 in one hit!

So far im having alot more success with the butterflies mode - it does rely on alot of luck, but because of the butterfly movement, the chance for big combos is relatively good, so even if you die quick, you can still hit at least 100k in a min or so, otherwise some games im hitting 500k pretty quickly. Gonna be a hell of a grind, unless they add the 1 minute blitz mode in an update!

Just as a guide also, my stats show ive done just over 2 hours, and im a bit over level 8 - its a huge grind. Butterflies really seems to work well, i just hit a good game with 455k in just under 3 mins

Just noticed that experience requirements to rank up are different for each game mode. Points needed in Butterflies mode are way higher than classic mode, and Diamond Mine is in between.

Not sure it will apply, as clearly the points requirements for ranking up are completely different depending on which game mode you play. This is far, far bigger than I anticipated!

I haven't made my mind up yet. I average 1m score in Diamond Mine but the games take a long time. I'm just switching back and forth now.

Much as I'm tempted to push for top 10 to complete - I think I'll wait for a method to be tested. I feel like spending my time playing Tomb Raider and other awesome SP games will keep me sane.

Wait till i get back to my main pc. Im's still doing it the naughty way.
It's taken about 5 hours of getting 1 million points every 30 seconds. so far. So even the naughty way isn't that quick. The legit way would be impressive though. I expect the 2 others that have got this did it the same way too.

If any one still plays this i've just gone back to it and, just as reference, in classic mode I scored 1,164,590 and got to level 15 and only went up 3 and a half levels. WTF. That puts me at almost level 4 in classic lol

Guys, i just found how many points do you need to get to the level 81. You will need 830,250,000 points in total to get to the level 81. That's A LOT of points, but if you play this really a lot, you will be able to complete this in one week :)
