Select Time Trials so that all your upgrades are boost upgrades (I used Vilgax with the heavy kart) then pick the "Volcano Void" circuit and then the "Codon Caldera" track.
At the first jump grab the upgrade but don't use it until about 2 seconds after you go through the seventh of the yellow boost pads right after you use the upgrade get the next upgrade instead of hitting the pad and then shoot it right after you get it. If you need a little extra time you can slide around the first corner for a little boost before the pads but it isn't needed.
When you break your streak a number will pop in the middle of the screen telling you many seconds of boost you got so you will know where you messed up. If you do pause and restart instead of going for another lap because the road starts falling apart on your second run.
