How to unlock the The Fast Lane achievement in Ben 10 The Rise of Hex - Definitive Guide
This achievement can only be earned in normal mode. Since there are 18 levels this allows an average of 10 minutes per level. Some levels are much shorter than others. The boss battles should only take a couple minutes each, allowing more time for some of the longer levels.
If it does not pop for you after defeating the final boss do not fret! You do NOT have to play the entire game over again. The game saves your "best" times (this is not viewable by the player). What this means is that you can go back and replay any levels you know you took a long time in.
Here are a few tips to help
1) Start out by playing levels that had you go out of your way for collectibles (IE level 6)
2) Always 'jump' while on ladders to scale them faster
3) Some forms move faster/slower than others. Spider Monkey seemed to move faster imo so I often stayed in that form when I could. In addition he is able to duck under any projectiles fired.
4) When using Echo Echo, if you find you need to 'collapse' his clones use LT. This is much faster than switching to another form and as Ben you will regain lost energy faster.
5) Avoid fights. You can jump over small enemies and keep running. As you run at any enemy swing to stun them and you will run through them without getting hit.
6) If you find yourself low on health switch to Chromastone (bottom left b/w Lodestar and Jet Ray). If you get hit while in this form you do not lose health but energy instead. This is especially useful in vertical areas with electric beams as you can simply fall down through them all.
For me it popped after replaying 3 levels.

Do you know if deaths add to the time or if the time goes back to the point when you died?

I can't way for sure but I suspect the former. When I replayed levels I made sure not to die

Note that you can not get this achievement in Time Attack Mode. It's pretty stupid because in Time Attack you can actually see how long you took to beat the game. Which it took me 108 minutes for the whole game but didn't get the achievement. So you gotta start a fresh run to get it. Just throwing it out there so you don't screw your self over like I just did.
