How to unlock the Eye Gouger achievement in Beowulf - Definitive Guide

This is the first boss battle. You must die at first, afterward you will learn about Carnal. Now simply hit him a few times and he will flip over, then grab him and follow the command prompt string. Doing this 3 times will end the fight and net you the achievement.

This will be your first exposure to this games QTEs (quick time events). When you see the prompt to mash a button, you must do it fairly quickly. The first time I fought the serpent I had no idea what I was doing wrong, I was just being a tad slow. So be forewarned, you got to be quick (I guess that's why they call them QTEs).

Heres my video solution to this achievement.

It's taken from my second playthrough on Legend difficulty so you won't see the achievement pop at the end.

You fight the Sea Serpent after the obstacle couse with Brecca, to kill the Serpent you first must die so you can learn about Carnal then once you have it you can fight him just wait for him to breath water and hit him a few times in the head from the side until he flips over then grab him using the button and then follow the command prompts on screen you need to do this three times before you gut him.

Story achievement, can't be missed. The very first boss, or rather 3 small ones. Everything is elementary here. We stay to the left in the corner of the arena, so the snake's tail won't reach us. After she hits us with it, we run up and beat her hand-to-hand, lowering her life to certain marks. After that, you need to use rage, grab her and win the QTE.

First we'll kill 1 snake, then 2 more will appear. Take it off, the tactic is the same, stay in the corner and wait until it comes out completely.
