How to unlock the Reign'in Blood achievement in Beowulf - Definitive Guide

This achievement will go hand-in-hand with the carnal index achievement. At the end of each level you will be awarded carnal upgrades points to put towards powering up your carnal ability. To get max carnal awards at the end of each level, make sure and complete every objective in carnal mode and kill as many enemies as you can in Carnal Mode, in addition killing each boss while in carnal mode will net you 7 points and lasting less than 2 minutes on each section of the Temptress will net you 7 points as well. You will need a total of 56 Carnal points to fully upgrade your Carnal skills.

But why 56 Carnal points? There is 4 carnal ability each have 4 upgrade level (The 5th level can be reached for free if every ability on level 4.) for 1, 2, 4, 8 points. That is (1 + 2 + 4 + 8) * 4 = 60 Carnal points. Did I miss something?

So I can't upgrade anymore... But it seems like there is one more circle on each attribute. The carnal upgrade screen says "Get the final carnal upgrade." Did I miss something? Thanks BTW I just finished "Hel Ride", so not quite done with Act 2.

PS. Thanks for all the help on this game.

OK, I see... Nevermind... For the record, after defeating Mel, and assuming you have ALL available (4-level) carnal upgrades, you can talk to Unferth (back at the castle) to get the aforementioned "final" upgrade. Be sure to do this before talking to the queen (King's Bedchamber, which prompts you "Are you PREPARED TO FACE YOUR DESTINY?"). At this point you can also head to the balcony, I suspect to find collectibles.

I'm curious how this would work if you were short on carnal/heroic points, as I thought for sure I would be... But luckily was not.

To get Beowulf fully upgraded with all Carnal upgrades you must get kills by fighting while in Carnal fury more then getting kills using Heroic means if you finish an objective by doing it with Carnal attacks you will get rewarded with Carnal awards you can spend on upgrades, also if you finish an episode by doing more Carnal things then Heroic things you get Carnal awards, also if you defeat a boss while in Carnal you get 7 Carnal awards, and also if you last less then 2:00 minutes fending of the desires in the gold filled caves you get 7 awards. You need a total of 56 total Carnal awards to fully max out your Carnal upgrades, you can upgrade ethier in the castle cutscenes or in the game when you come across a upgrade station which is just a little box with a red flag.

Try to accept bad deeds when completing all tasks and pump only this branch. After all, no one wants to replay the game twice just because of this.
