yeah not 100% sure, I'd be safe though and not count them if you don't get to a checkpoint/ save.

I never did figure it out for sure... But I played this game enough where it did not matter... Did plenty of stealing anyway.

A good place to do this is during Episode 5: Innocence Sacrificed right at the beginning. You start in a swamp and you need to get the Thanes to roll a round rock out of the way to continue through the level, when you order them to open the door you will hear enemies hiss/screech and they will slide down behind you, about 7 or 8 of them, most/all with weapons. Disarm as many as you can by grappling them by tapping B, then tapping A to disarm them. Once you disarm and kill them all, hold LB and press A to get the Thanes to stop opening the door, and then order them to open it again. The enemies will keep coming as long as you repeat this process. You can get the achievement in about 10 minutes. This is also a good place to unlock "The Slayer" achievement.
