An uncomplicated way to get this achievement is to get a 4-player live session together and just let one player score 3 goals. Most say that only the host of the game will unlock the achievement, but there have been reports of some cases where this wasn't necessary. Ice Box is the most manageable map for this.

This one was glitchy for me. Took a few times. Might not be awarded in 2 or 3 player games, not sure.
