Any info on where to get addons, can they be purchased somewhere?
NVM there are actually two addons at the bandit king hideout thing just near where you get the sword.

Worth mentioning, it doesn't count if you upgrade it at a workbench. You can however upgrade it, and then recraft it to get the achievement. I'm not sure if you can use all the same parts or if you have to change one, but I changed one just incase and it unlocked for me

Did this with a Rifle, as they have the most attachments, and while playing the game you will eventually come across a number of legendary add-on attachments to put into a strong base. Worth doing a quick save/reload once you have a legendary base and think you have enough pieces to do it. (I built a 7 and a half star rifle without all legendary pieces.)

When crafting weapons you can use high-quality parts along with upgrading the quality and material of a weapon at a bench to try and make a 7-star weapon, but that takes a lot of materials and requires finding high-quality parts first.
