Note: I'm no longer updating this solution with new scores as it's been many years since I wrote this and don't want to keep coming back to make updates, especially on such an old game. Feel free to refer to, or post in, the comments for any updates, however. Thank you for all your support over the years!

Using all the great solutions and tips from the other guides, plus my gold score requirement list will provide you with everything you need to 100% this game. Make sure you read my whole solution first so you only have to go through each level twice (one regular playthrough and one canister/gold playthrough).

100% completion requires you to get all canisters, buy everything from the shop, and get gold on all levels, including Vezon’s Awakening and the Secret Chambers. I can confirm that you do not need to interact with the items in Piraka’s Playground.

Some people are stating that they do not know what gets you to Gold on each level but there is an easy way to figure that out. Just go to the shop and buy Hint 20 which tells you:

“To improve your level rankings collect as many LEGO pieces as you can and try not to lose masks.”

To help everyone with this, I wrote down my score on every level to show you how I got gold. Now, this doesn’t mean that this is the minimum! This is just a guide so you know what will guarantee you gold. You can definitely get gold with fewer LEGO pieces, but why risk it? However, if someone does get gold with a lower score than me, then please provide that in the comments (although I will no longer be making updates to the solution).

Before you begin, make sure all your characters are fully upgraded, you completed each level once so you got the boss mask, and you have the canister locator.

(if you are struggling with Secret Chamber 3, try this great tip courtesy of Torchstone: The easiest way to get gold [and in turn 100% completion] is to go for kills without collecting pieces. Stand in the middle with the black mask and blast away at the groups of enemies in the major spawn points. Just turn from group to group blasting twice at each then moving to the next. When your health gets to 1/2 a heart, just switch to another mask, die and then switch back to the black one and continue blasting.)

Tips to Increase Your Score

• When you lose a mask you lose LEGO pieces, so try to avoid doing so
• Try not to pick up a new mask until you are low on health
• The black mask is the best for sections with a lot of enemies or things you want to blow up
• If you are about to die, switch masks to whichever mask you know will regenerate in that section so that you can get it back
• When you get into a new area, kill enemies FIRST before interacting with or destroying anything, because enemies will infinitely spawn until you get Hero mode
• If you have already picked up a canister in a previous playthrough, still go back to the secret area because there are often tons of LEGO pieces there – getting all those in the secret area will put you extremely close to gold
• Keep an eye out for infinite spawns of enemies and milk it as much as possible
• Interact with anything with a B button prompt, especially those that depend on special abilities or the boss mask
• Never use the boss mask to fight because once it’s gone, you can’t get it back during that level

If you have not unlocked this achievement after doing the above, then do the following:

1. Check your medal and canister count for each level
2. Make sure you bought everything from the shop! I thought I had everything but realized there was one small sliver of a special ability I hadn’t purchased

Apparently, no one hast pointed out what really needs to be done to get 100% completion. You need to:
- Clear all the levels and earn a Gold Medal on each of them.
- Get a Gold Medal on each of the 3 Bonus Stages.
- Get all the Gold and Silver canisters from all the levels (on 2nd playthrough, after getting the Canister Locator).
- Buy all the items in the Item Shop.

I'm still not sure on how to get Gold on the regular levels. After 2 playthroughs I still had Bronze on one and Silver on three. So I just replayed them trying not to die, destroying all the enemies and pieces, collecting as many Lego pieces as I could, and interacting with everything. I can guarantee that's how you get gold.

I also interacted with all the Piraka amusement stuff (blow the horn on each one of them to have the robots come and interact with them). I don't know if that's necessary but I still did that.

and when you get enough cash you can perchase a canister locater wich will help loads this as a easy 1000 to your gamer score

added note: get what canisters you can while playing the game but its easyer to beat the game first seeing that you unlock the final boss as a charater and only he can get to certain canister area's

As an addition to the solutions above.
I would like to add that this achievement sometimes has difficulties to unlock.

When this happens to you, don't panic
Just double check the stats of each level.
If everything is complete and the achievement hasn't unlocked, then I would recommend you to start a zone boss battle
(for example the coast line boss)

Upon completing this level you force the game to do an autosave. You should gain the in-game badge, and unlock this achievement.

People claim this is broken but but they are all missing a few things.
To achieve 100% you need to:
- Collect all gold and silver canisters
- Buy all items from the shop (upgrades, extras, tips)
- Complete every level with gold status ( collect enough pieces to earn gold)
- Complete all secret chambers with gold status (kill enough enemies in each challenge)

If you have completed everything there is a ending cutscene.

One problem is people think when completing a challenge getting the achievement means they have gold status. Go back to the chamber and see what the pop up screen says. Most people miss this.

Another thing is that some people miss something in the store so be careful of that too.
