How to unlock the Reincarnation achievement in BioShock 2 - Definitive Guide
This is just a simple boosting method to get the level achievements quicker. To do this feature you have to level up to 50.
1. Get a few other people who want to boost.
2. Play ADAM Grab (Not the team one)
3. Try to pick a level with at least 3 turrets (So up to 6 people may boost)
4. If you do not get a level with 3 then just have the 2 other players trade off on holding the little sister for points. (If you have 6 people.)
5. Get 2 people per turret.
6. Trade off hacking it for 10 points every 5 seconds-ish
7. Make sure everyone has Speed Hacker (Forgot what its called) to make it go by faster.
[EDIT:] If nobody touches the little sister everybody gets the bonus points for a win, because the game results in a equal tie.
If for whatever reason, you want to boost and you don't have Speed Hacker you could always boost w/o it. Yes, it will be slower but eventually you will unlock Speed Hacker and then you're all good.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Feel free to message me if anything was not clear enough.

I know right? Did my solution help at all for you?

I thought I would add a little extra info pertaining to this achievement. Other people have already explained the turret boosting method or that this achievement requires you to get 163,000 ADAM
This is what it took for me to get to level 50:
-18hrs 45mins Total Time Played.
-117 Total Matches Played.
-12,640 Turret Hacks.
This is what it took me personally to get the achievement. I never played the multi-player legitimately so this was all boosting. Some people may do better/worse but this should serve as a rough estimate of what you are getting yourself into.

JUNE 4 UPDATE
Hey guys,
I have an update on the status of the DLC issues we’re working on for you. Currently, the Rebirth issue has been fixed by our team and is headed into testing. Based on how long the QA and approval process goes, I know this patch won’t be in your hands in the next two weeks, but when I have a definitive release date, I’ll let you all know. The map playlists have been delayed and will not be making it in to this upcoming patch. When I know more about that future patch, I will give you more details immediately, but I wanted to give everyone an update as soon as possible as to what’s going on over here.
Let me know if you have any questions, and again, thank you for your patience while we work this out.

MAY 19 UPDATE
Hey guys,
Here’s an update on the DLC fixes. Currently, we have begun work on making DLC playlists for every BioShock 2 MP mode. That means you will be able to choose from the lobbies currently available as they work now, or, if you own DLC, you can choose to play only the DLC maps with people who also have DLC maps.
We are also creating a fix so that people who Rebirth do not have their leaderboard stats wiped. Unfortunately, even after working with Microsoft and Sony, we are unable to restore your lost scores, however, we are expediting a solution to keep this from ever happening again.
As for timing, we are hoping to have these fixes to you in 4 weeks. It will take about 2 weeks to code the patch and 2 weeks to test and certify (if all goes perfectly, longer if there’s any hitches in the process.)
I’ll keep you updating as we move through these stages. You won’t be getting a daily update from me, but whenever something important happens, I’ll post it here.
Thanks.

Elizabeth Tobey, senior manager of interactive marketing for 2K, addressed another complaint about the new DLC involving the included Rebirth option, which lets rank 50 players reset their level in exchange for a special mask item. The feature is apparently wiping players' leaderboard ranking and online stats. Tobey assured that the BioShock 2 team is "looking into" the Rebirth issue.
If I hear of this changing, I will update this guide.
[/WARNING!]
"Rebirth Feature – Players who reach rank 50 have the option to rank down to Level 1 and receive a special mask."
So the guide is pretty obvious... Reach rank 50 and do the BioShock equivalent of prestige.
FYI, It takes 163,000 ADAM to make it to level 50 (thanks Trikke den 1e & Nick Nguyen).
This also from Nick Nguyen, in the comments: I rebirthed yesterday... My final ADAM count was 163,000... Once you rebirth, you lose everything you earned INCLUDING all completed trials... Basically you "prestige" if your a fan of Modern Warfare, you know what I'm talking about...
Some good info in the comments if you want to check them out.
Oh, and I'm sorry some of you don't like this guide... When I heard about the new achievement (via a TrueAchievements PM), I came here to see what it was. Guess what, no guide. So I spent 20 minutes trying to find the info, and put it here to save others the trouble. Not sure why it's getting negative votes. Oh well, at least you know what the achievement is now.

For the boosting with 6 people its obvious you need a map with at least 3 turrets. Here is a list of maps, appropriate for boosting:
- Arcadia (3 turrets)
- Mercury Suites (4 turrets)
- Neptune's Bounty (3 turrets)
- Point Prometheus (3 turrets)
- Hephaestus (2 turrets and 1 vending machine which can be hack without taking a damage)
List of maps, not appropriate for boosting:
- Farmer's Market (2 turrets)
- Fort Frolic (2 turrets)
- Home for the Poor (2 turrets)
- Medical Pavilion (2 turrets)
- Kashmir Restaurant (2 turrets)
All DLC maps are not good for the boosting, because all of them has 2 turrets and even less (Fontaine Fisheries has 1 turret)
P.S.: Also, use trials! Some trials on high level are very easy to complete (like 5-10 seconds) and give you a 1000 ADAM
UPD: JMJimmy says on comments:
"Most of the 2nd part of the list can be boosted in the same method as Hephaestus.
Fort Frolic = machine by the rocket turret
Farmer's Market = left of the rocket turret there's a vending machine beside a set of stairs that can be hacked
Kashmir Restaurant = Upstairs bathroom has a vending machine that can be hacked through the wall
etc
A bunch of the DLC maps also have vending machines that can be easily hacked (without using freeze method). Basically any vending machine that has a flat wall on the right side of it with enough room for 2 people can be done like the Fort Frolic."

Just so everyone knows what Rebirth is, rebirth is when you rank up to 50 and then rank back down to rank 1. All trials and load outs will be reset. It will be just like when you were rank 1. It may sound intimidating to rank all the way up to 50, but it just takes some time if you want to do it legit.
What you do is go to Team Adam Grab. If you're good at this then it won't take as long as you think. You can find some friends that are good to play on your team if you like. The key here is for you to hold the little sister as much as you can. The longer you hold her, the more adam you obtain. Even if you lose, you can still earn more adam if you carry the sister. Here are also a few tips to earning more adam.
1. Hack everything you see. Each hack is worth ten adam. If you dont like to take that long hacking something, you can freeze it so hacking is faster.
2. Be alert for adam vials. Each vial is worth ten points so it can really add up if you find a lot.
3. Take research photos whenever you can. This helps for two reasons. First, a research photo gives you ten adam. It also gives you a damage bonus against the player you researched. Damage bonuses make it easier to kill your oppenent and each kill is worth ten adam.
4. The tonic speedy recovery helps when you're almost dead, but just reach cover.
5. It is important for carrying good weapons and plasmids to earn more adam. If you're carrying the little sister, some plasmids that are good are electro bolt, geyser trap, and houdini. I find these to be the best for a few reasons.
Electro bolt stops the enemy in its tracks for a few seconds, giving you time to run into a safe place with the sister.
Geyser trap helps you to create traps when in a small room so enemies can't reach you as fast. When electro bolt is added with the trap, the enemy dies when it hits. Geyser trap can also be used to quickly use on an opponent when trying to run away.
Houdini is great for running away from enemies because they won't be able to see you so it will be harder to shoot and kill you.
It took me about two weeks to go up to a 50 from a 20. It just takes a lot of gameplay. It is not as hard as it seems. Good luck!

>> Legit Reincarnation achievement solution only <<
Step 1:
I think that the best way to obtain this achievement legit is to play Civil War how much as you can. Survival of the Fittest is much more frustrating and less effective, Capture the Sister takes too long. Others are much more less effective.
One Civil War match takes about 5-7 minutes, and you get at least 150 ADAM for completing each (if you aren't in the winning team) or 200 ADAM (if your team win tha match) even if you don't do anything else during this time.
You can easily gain about 350-500 ADAM if your stats are good (10 ADAM per each kill, photo, hack & vials, 50 ADAM for killing streak, 5 ADAM for kill assist, 100 ADAM for Big Daddy kill and 50 ADAM for each being Big Daddy) or much more if you complete some trials (additional 75-500 ADAM for each).
I've gained level 50 (163.000 ADAM) in about 40 hours total playing time without boosting at all (+ about 4 hours waiting/lobby time).
Step 2:
Choose the Rebirth option.
Extremely important: Once you choose that option you'll loose EVERY bonuses you've gained before and your multiplayer level will be restarted. As a reward (except achievement of course), you'll get a special badge (your level number will change a little bit).
* If you want to leave a negative vote, please tell me why, so I can fix my solution if there are any mistakes in it.

TURRET BOOSTING DEFINED
Turret boosting is when 2 players not on the same team repeatedly hack a turret to gain EXP. Generally this is done on Adam Grab because it is a free for all and only requires 6 players to lock down a lobby.
In Adam Grab winning occurs when you hold the little sister for 3 minutes total or you have the most time holding her when the match ends naturally at 10 minutes. When boosting don't touch the little sister. This will ensure that all players receive the same "match bonus" EXP and leave you with the full 10 minutes to turret boost.
Turrets are always great to hack but sometimes you will need to hack vending machines. BEWARE. Hacking a vending machine causes an explosive trap on the front of the machine. Therefore the only machines friendly to boosters will be ones that you can both safely stand behind and not set off the trap.
Speedy Hack - This is an upgrade earned at LEVEL 24. Once earned be sure to equip it immediately.
Because 6 players are needed to effectively boost you will need to play on a map with at least 3 hackable machines. When in the matchmaking lobby the game will select a random map. If that map is undesirable you can veto one time. If you don't get a good map either time I would recommend having everyone quit and try again.
BOOSTER FRIENDLY MAPS
Acadia - 3 Turrets
Farmer's Market - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (Ground level by a staircase, from the perspective of the turrets it is left of the rocket turret or right of the machinegun turret.)
Fort Frolic - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (2nd level, left of rocket turret)
Hephaestus - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (Hard to describe, just find the one you can clearly stand behind)
Kashmir Restaurant - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (Upstairs women's restroom, hack through the wall)
Mercury Suites - 4 Turrets
Neptune's Bounty - 3 Turrets
Pauper's Drop (DLC) - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (1st floor, center)
Point Prometheus - 4 Turrets
****Siren Alley (DLC) - 2 Turrets, 1 Vending Machine (Bottom floor, exterior of map, between 2 metal signs for "Pump 5", tipped backward)
**** Have one player jump on top of the hacking box and go as far up the vending machine as possible while still being able to hack. Then have the other player jump onto the hacking box and crouch. You should both on the vending machine and able to hack. If the second player sets off the trap have that player step back as far as they can without falling off.
BOOSTER UNFRIENDLY MAPS
Dionysus Park (DLC) - 2 Turrets
Fighting McDonagh's (DLC) - 2 Turrets
Fontaine Fisheries (DLC) - 1 Turret, 1 Vending Machine (Bottom floor, behind turret in room with exit sign above entrance)
Home of the Poor - 2 Turrets
Medical Pavilion - 2 Turrets
Smuggler's Hideout (DLC) - 2 Turrets
If for some reason you don't have a partner or your boosting buddies choose not to quit out of a booster unfriendly map, feel free to run around the map collecting red vials or hacking inconsequential vending machines. Although this is undesirable, it can get you an ok amount of EXP and is better than nothing.
Thanks to Crimson Drifter for helping me test out my theories on some vending machines (all failures).

OK, you're making progress but the grind of boosting is beginning to wear on you.
This is an improved way to hack Vending Machines that can net BOTH PLAYERS over +2200 per match instead of just for one player.
Start by using the "ADAM Grab, Turret hacking" boosting session method where no one holds the Little Sister so everyone gets a +200 bump for tying for first place.
With normal Turret hacking plus Speedy Hack, each player can net about 17 hacks/minute. If you find a turret fast you can earn at most 1900 per match (17*10pts*10minutes)+200 first place. But usually you end up in the 1700-1800 range.
By replacing the Turret with a Vending Machine and utilizing freezing, the hacking increases to about 21 hacks/minute. That increases the maximum earnings to 2300 per match (21*10pts*10minutes)+200 first place. But usually you end up in the 2100-2200 range.
After all those hours of boosting, the extra 400-500 per match begins to look pretty nice.
Here is why it works
- A frozen Vending Machine hacks faster.
- A frozen Vending Machine does not dispense bombs.
- The Vending Machine continually provides additional Eve.
- When you get the rhythm down, you are both hacking at full speed
Here is why it's tricky
- There are some fast and repetitive control motions.
- You have to keep the vending machine frozen.
- Every 4 hacks, you have to move slightly away from the hacking button to replenish Eve then move back.
- You have to not freeze the wall or the other player because that means you missed the Vending Machine.
Here is the setup
- Both players have Speedy Hack (duh).
- One player has Winter Blast and Eve Saver. This allows for 4 freezings before Eve needs to be replenished.
- The player with Winter Blast does all the hard work and stands in front of the Vending Machine.
- The other player just stands to the side and hacks as fast as he can.
Here are the steps after your first freeze (1) and hack of the Vending Machine
- Look left, Freeze (2), mash-A, Hack
- Look left, Freeze (3), mash-A, Hack
- Look left, Freeze (4), mash-A, Hack
- Slide left to replenish Eve, Freeze (1), Slide right, mash-A, Hack
- repeat for 10 minutes...
Here are the tricks
- Freeze as soon as the other player starts Hacking.
- But first, turn slightly to the left so you don't freeze the other player.
- Don't bother looking back at the Hack control. After you mash-A, the game will automatically turn you back to the Hacking position. That's why you have to keep looking left every time you re-freeze the Vending Machine.
- You can't pick up Eve from the Hacking position. That's why you have to slide left to replenish your Eve.
- Get into a rhythm and keep an eye on your Eve level. You'll learn after the first few times you try to re-freeze but have no Eve.
Be realistic
- This does involve a lot of repetitive motions.
- If it becomes frustrating, just go back to the Turrets. The boosting is painful enough as it is

The boosting is painful enough as it is
Like Call of Duty's Prestige or Red Dead Redemption's Legend, Rebirth allows you to start over at Level 1. This can only be done if you own the Rapture Metro DLC. It is the only way you can get to Level 50 AND Rebirth (the Sinclair Solutions pack allows you to get to level 50, but not Rebirth). You get a special mask to show off your "bravery" but you lose almost everything; Plasmids, Tonics, Weapons, ADAM, and even your spot on the leaderboards! A patch is suppose address the leaderboards, but for now, be cautious when doing Rebirth unless you strictly want the achievement or don't care about your leaderboard rank.
WARNING: Don't Rebirth until after you have the Territorial and Aqua Incognita trophies, else getting them will become that much harder due to all your unlocks and stats being reset.
"Rebirth" is the BioShock 2 equivalent of Prestige mode, where you have to reset your rank start anew from Rank 1 once you reach the highest rank. The only problem is just reaching Rank 50. If you've already reached that via the Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack (the first DLC) then go to the main menu of multiplayer and choose "Rebirth". If you're at Rank 40 then you will need 66,000 ADAM points to reach Rank 50. Between each Rank from 40 to 49, 6000 ADAM points are needed per rank but 49 to 50 requires 12,000 ADAM points, thus the minimum total ADAM that you need is 163,000.
Do note that any ADAM you get after reaching Rank 40 (97,000) but before buying either the Sinclair Solutions or Rapture Metro pack DLCs, won't count towards Ranks 41-50 and will be reset to 97,000 upon levelling up from Rank 40 though your overall ADAM count will still be intact on the Leaderboards. Once you reach Rank 50, Rebirth will become an option in the multiplayer main menu and the trophy will pop after using it. Be warned that if you choose to Rebirth, your total ADAM count will be reset (along with your Trials, weapons, Plasmids and Tonics) to zero along with your rank/place on the overall leaderboard!
