How to unlock the Tear 'em a New One achievement in BioShock Infinite - Definitive Guide
Tear 'em a New One
I would say what a Tear is but that would ruin the secret :) but for those who know what they are, the best way to get this achievement is when you exit the Hall of Heroes, do not worry about the enemies, instead just tear the mosquito in front of you, then the sniper rifle to your left, reload checkpoint. Rinse and repeat until you have the achievement. Takes about 5-10 minutes.
If you already passed this part, load up chapter 8 (Return to Hall of Heroes) and you will be right there. Don't worry you can load back you area you left off at and it wont ruin anything. (make sure when you choose to load back its at a new chapter start).
Note: There way over 30 tears in the game, if you want you can just go through the entire game tearing all tears you see and you WILL unlock the achievement.

I said this is the FASTEST way to get the achievement, not the most time saving!

Shortly after you meet Elizabeth, she will be able to open "Tears". These Tears, once opened, can summon supportive allies, provide weapons, health, Salts or even create cover and other environmental aids. The Tears are highlighted around the world in a grey colour and can be opened by holding down .
There are far more than 30 Tears throughout the game, so you should get this without needing to farm. During large battles there will be a large number of these, so open them during the battle or after it if you prefer. Do note that you must open 30 individual Tears and not the same ones back and forth.

You'll definitely get it before the end of the game. Just use them more often.
