How to unlock the Lucky Winner achievement in BioShock Remastered - Definitive Guide
This one is RNG but isn't super terrible.
So the first location where slot machines are available (and I believe the only location) is Fort Frolic, where Sander Cohen is. This place has a couple casinos in Poseidon Plaza and at the very entrance of Fort Frolic there are a couple slot machines. The best way to do this is to save right before you start and then play until you get the jackpot or run out of money. I had about $200 when I started and I was winning small amounts enough that I never needed to reload but that could have been luck. You will know when you get it when you get $250 and confetti shoots out of the machine.
It took me roughly 10 minutes of play to get this achievement.

Took me 13 minutes and 1 save reload. I don't know if it could be the case with this achievement, but some people have pointed out that when an achievement was "bugged" for them (in this game) all they had to do was hit the home button on their controller and go to the "All achievements" tab and it would magically trigger it to unlock. I used this method when the "Became a Big Daddy" and "Little Sister Savior" achievements wouldn't pop for me and it worked like a charm! So I would suggest you try that before giving up.
I know a lot of people have complained that this version of the game was very buggy, but I had no issues with it (besides the two I mentioned above). I got all the achievements in my first play through so I have faith that you will be able to the same as well

The slot machines are located in Fort Frolic
There is only a 2% chance of dropping the jackpot, so unless you get really lucky it will probably take you a while.
Three apples ($25) - 30%
Two dollars ($50) - 10%
Three dollars ($250) - 2% - JACKPOT
On average you should have to spend $500 for the jackpot (50 tries). S
Go to Fort Frolic with $500 or as much as you can , find a slot machine eg Pharaohs Fortune and make a save.
Spin away until you hit the jackpot. Hopefully the smaller wins will help sustain you longer.
If you don't hit it just reload and try again.
If you do hit it then reload and keep your money which if you are playing on hard you will need.

If those probabilities are accurate, as long as you hit the jackpot, you shouldn't have to reload the save. The expected value from a spin is actually positive. In other words, if you spin long enough to hit the 250 jackpot, you should be positive.
Each spin costs $10 which reduces the reward in each case.
58% at -10 =-5.8
30% at +15 = +4.5
10% at +40 = +4.0
2% at +240 = +4.8
Expected Value = +7.5 per spin. Therefore, I would like to gamble at this casino.

You can unlock this in A Shocking Turn of Events as well if you want to be a rebel. Probably not as beneficial but if you are in a huge hurry to get the achievement you can get it in 5 mins as long as RNG isn't terrible.

This achievement is complete RNG, it may take you 1 attempt, or it may take you 100.
You need to have access to Fort Frolic, and be able to visit Sir Prize Games of Chance where all the machines are located (Shown above). To get the achievement you need to get 3x$ for a $250 reward. I started out with around $100 in my wallet and just saved anytime I went above my initial starting money, and loaded when I ran out.
I spent about 35min to get it, and ended on $490 when I was done. Good luck. I haven't confirmed this, but other gambling machines around the level *may* give you the achevement as well.

This is trophy is random and can take to 2 minutes or 2 hours (Never had it take 2 hours but you never know). To earn this trophy you need to hit a Jackpot at one of the slot machines in Fort Frolic. A jackpot is 3 $ signs in a row and when you win, it will basically fill your wallet to $500 which is full. Fort Frolic has quite a few areas with slot machines so my advice would be to go in with a fairly full wallet, find a machine (there are 2 on the left as soon you go through the door getting off of the bathysphere), make a manual save, then start playing. If you run out of money, just re-load your save and you will have your money back. Keep playing until you hit the jackpot and when you do, you will hear a special chime/sound something and the trophy will unlock shortly afterward.
This achievement used to be missable in the 360 versions of Bioshock.
With the addition of challenge rooms in the One version, this one becomes easily obtainable and isn't missable anymore.
How to get to the slot machine:
With the addition of challenge rooms in the One version, this one becomes easily obtainable and isn't missable anymore.
How to get to the slot machine:
- start up the challenge room “A Shocking Turn of Events”
- after spawning in, do a 180° and pull the Bathysphere lever until you die.
- respawn in the vita-chamber, get out and pick up the shotgun and the electric buck
- open the door in this room, walk out into the hallway, turn left, and shoot the electrified door switch
- walk to the end of the balcony and you will see a knocked down pillar (right where the splicer electrified itself) and a broken down railing
- between the pillar and the broken railing drop down 1 floor, you will land in a bar area
- in the far left corner of the bar area is the slot machine
- pick up the money on the floor right next to the machine
- make a manual save
- pay for a spin at the slot machine
- if you win, save again - if you loose, load your last save
- repeat until you hit the jackpot

At the beginning of the location, as you entered the subway, there are 2 machine guns on the left. We play the second one until it wears out. You can save in advance.

I got it on the left. But I played a little here and there. The jackpot, along with the trophy, fell probably on about the 40th attempt.

I got the jackpot after almost 10 minutes of playing the machine. If you don't get the jackpot, just keep playing and don't worry - it will definitely happen.
